Memory 01: 01 Bottom Of The Barrel

The mission starts with Arno trying to figure out the previous night's events and the location of his father's watch. The game flashes back to the night before, showing Arno being kicked out of a bar. Head straight through the arch to take cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) by the wall and equip your Cherry Bombs.

Toss a Cherry Bomb in the back of the area to draw over the guards. Toss a second bomb as needed to get all four lures for the optional objective. Follow the wall, run across the gap, and take cover on the other side. Wait for the Brute to turn away, then run up the vined building on your right to reach the street.

Run north until you are under the balcony of the building with the waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination) (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination). Climb up. Use Eagle Vision to ensure no guards are near the opening before climbing onto the balcony.

The Brute inside will patrol from the right side of the room to the left. Wait for him to be on the right side of the room before entering. Hide behind the wall, and when he moves left, interact with the barrel for a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically).

Back in the present, hop out the window and make your way to the bar for a cutscene. In another flashback, you will need to fight off thugs. They will keep coming until you sustain enough damage, at which point another cutscene will trigger.

After another cutscene, chase down the thugs and tackle him to learn where his boss is located.
