Magic
Spells are powerful tools or attacks that can really help you out in many situations. They can be used to take down enemies, move yourself or objects around, light up dark areas, or even slow down time to precisely deal with a tough opponent. There are many ways to use and classify magic, based on what it does and what category it falls into.
Gravity
Gravity magic is recognized by its distinct purple effects. It allows you to manipulate gravity to your will, letting you pick up and move NPCs, or even propel yourself in any direction. You can also slow your fall, negating fall damage.
Lightning
The base lightning spell is a short-range magic attack that constantly consumes Mana. Electric spells are known for their blue color, ability to chain between enemies, and stun them. When used, electricity branches out from your hand, seeking out enemies or their weapons.
Fire
Fire magic is simpler than the other spells but still very powerful, primarily used for damage. With fire equipped, you can cast a fireball that you can guide by rotating your hands. This is a great ranged option if you don't have a bow and arrows.
Skills
Skills are different ways to augment your spells. To get more skills, you need to collect and spend Crystal Shards, which you get from running in dungeons. An example is Flaming Touch, a skill that ignites an enemy when you hold them and keep the trigger held down.
Merge Spells
Merge spells are alternate, more powerful versions of the base spells. To cast them, hold the same spell in both hands, then bring them together. After a short time, the merged spell is ready. For gravity, release the cast button and spread your hands apart. For fire, throw the larger fireball. For lightning, hold the spell with your hands far apart without letting go.
Imbuing
Imbuing a weapon with magic is as simple as holding a magic spell up to it. For electricity, hold the weapon farther from the spell so the lightning can seek it. Imbuing a weapon changes its color based on the spell used and grants it special properties. The double-bladed sword can have two different imbues at once, one on each blade.
The imbue duration depends on how often you hit things (enemies, terrain, or objects), how long the spell was held up to the weapon (5 seconds for full imbue, indicated by color intensity), and the weapon's tier (higher tiers stay imbued longer).
Staves
Staves have two attacks when imbued: a slam attack and a cast attack. The cast attack drains imbue while used. The slam attack is a powerful magic attack that greatly drains imbue and can be performed by slamming the staff on the ground. It's great for getting out of sticky situations quickly, but requires re-imbuing.
Mind
Mind magic, like telekinesis, is always active and just needs to be used. Point your palm at an object or weapon, and when a white symbol appears, you can manipulate it. You can pull it towards you (all weapons and some objects can be pulled directly to your hand), push it away, rapidly spin it (this constantly consumes Mana), or quickly throw it by accelerating it in a direction.
