Navigate the tricky Gordo (3) encounter in Blade & Sorcery. Learn enemy patterns, optimal strategies, and essential tips to overcome this challenging foe and progress.

Alright, let's talk about Gordo (3). This section is all about getting you through that specific part of the game smoothly. Think of it as a friendly heads-up so you don't get blindsided.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Chinatown (Howie Lee's Sushi Bar): You'll arrive at the sushi bar. The comedian Gordo is here, but he's not your main target right now. What you really need to do is talk to Howie Lee, the guy behind the counter. Make sure you go through all the conversation options he gives you. After that, follow Zuben into the kitchen.
  2. 2
Chinatown (Kitchen): In the kitchen, you'll have a chat with Zuben. You can ask him about Lucy or the VK test. During the conversation, you'll need to click around the right side of the screen rapidly. Zuben's going to try and dump a boiling pot on you, but don't worry, you'll dodge it. Your next move is to run out the back door and chase after him into the alley.
  3. 3
Chinatown (Alley): As you chase Zuben, you'll come around a corner and see a hobo near a dumpster. You have the option to kill him here if you want. After that, you can search the dumpster for a license plate. If you did kill the hobo, you can then dump his body in the dumpster. Now, you have a choice on how to deal with Zuben.

KILLING ZUBEN - CHOICE #1

  1. Chinatown (Alley): Enter the door right next to the dumpster.
  2. Chinatown (Warehouse): Head up the stairs on the right side.
  3. Chinatown (Dark Corridor): Go all the way to the end of this hall. Zuben will drop down. You can choose to kill him here, or you can put your weapon away and spare him. The walkthrough author recommends killing him, but it's your call. If you kill him, make sure to search his body for a picture. After that, head back downstairs.
  4. Chinatown (Warehouse): Talk to the cops who are now present, then hop back into your spinner and head to your apartment.
  5. McCoy's Apartment (Roof): Go to the elevator at the far end of the roof and get inside.

KILLING ZUBEN - CHOICE #2

  1. Chinatown (Alley): Instead of going towards the dumpster, run in the opposite direction, all the way down the alley.
  2. Chinatown (Howie Lee's Sushi Bar): Once you're back at the sushi bar, jump into your spinner and head to your apartment.
  3. McCoy's Apartment (Roof): As you approach the elevator at the far end of the roof, Zuben will come at you from the right. You can kill him, or put your gun away to show sympathy. If you kill him, a guy named Gaff will speak with you. Regardless, search Zuben's body for a picture. Then, get into the elevator.
  4. McCoy's Apartment (Elevator): Select the middle button to go up to Ray's room, 88f.

McCoy's Apartment (88f):

  1. You'll meet Maggie, the dog Ray just bought. You can feed her if you like by clicking on the counter. Notice the ESPER machine on the table near the couch – it works just like the one at the police station. Head into Ray's bedroom down the hall. After Ray reflects on the day on the balcony, control will return to you. Click on the bed to go to sleep and end Act I.
Tips
  • Always use all conversation threads when talking to NPCs like Runciter, Officer Leary, Howie Lee, and Klein. You never know what crucial information you might miss.
  • Don't forget to examine everything in a room. Clues like shell casings, wrappers, and even dog collars can be vital.
  • The ESPER machine at the police station is your best friend for analyzing clues and video footage. Make sure to use it every time you visit.
  • When analyzing Runciter's surveillance footage, pay close attention to zoomable areas. You can uncover suspects and important details this way.
  • There are two distinct paths for dealing with Zuben. Think about the consequences or simply choose the one that feels right for your playthrough.
