Walkthrough

    Ensure you have the Zangetsuto.

    Save in the nearby Save Room.

    Fight Gebel. Defeat him once to earn the _Usurper_ achievement.

    Fight Gebel a second time. Damage him until the moon in the background turns red.

    When the moon turns red, jump and slash it to cut it in half, revealing Gremory.

    Gremory will create a portal. Chase her through it into the Den of Behemoths.

    In the Den of Behemoths, navigate through large rooms with tougher versions of previously encountered enemies. Use Invert to evade if necessary.

    Destroy the Carriage Buer and Cannon Morte combo. Loot the Blue Chest (#2) on the left.

    Return to the previous room with the boards and drop through.

    In the large room with the broken bridge, drop down and go to the far left wall.

    Loot the Blue Chest (#3) on the ledge above the door on the left.

    Enter the door to find a tall room with stairs. Deal with the Giant Moco, Giant Bat, and Giant Buer.

    Go down the stairs and deal with the Giant Moco at the bottom.

    Enter the door on the left to find a room with several Giant Mortes. Kill them carefully.

    Walk off the ledge to your left to find a Giant Cannon. Stand on it and attack it to defeat it safely. Invert to land on the ceiling and enter the nearby nook.
Tips
  • Before proceeding to the Den of Behemoths, spend as much money as possible, as having a lot of cash can work against you soon.
  • When fighting Gebel the second time, wear the Aegis Armor to help with the race if you attempt it.
  • The race for the Accelerator Shard is found by going to the far left side of the Den of Behemoths, then to the bottom. Enter the room on the right to find the blue Ninja Harrier and start the race. Winning grants the Accelerator Shard.
  • The Den of Behemoths contains larger versions of previous enemies; they are tougher and harder to maneuver around.
  • Jump Kicking from above is effective against the Cannon Morte and Chariot Buer if you have good boots.
  • The Giant Toads attack, while the Giant Moco does not. Prioritize dealing with the Toads.
  • The Giant Mortes are big, slow, and do not attack. Avoid bumping into them.
