Welcome to Arvantville! This town serves as your base of operations as you venture into the castle. While not dangerous itself, it houses key NPCs and services.

Exploring Arvantville
As you enter Arvantville, head right and defeat the initial Morte. Continue right to encounter two new enemies:
- Giant Rat (24 HP): A fast-moving enemy. Stay at a distance and attack. Drops Rat Tails for alchemy.
- Bone Morte (37 HP): Stationary enemy that throws bones in an arc. Dodge its attacks and defeat it. Drops Melting Bone and Melting Skull for alchemy.
Use the cart to gain height and defeat the Giant Rat with Cerulean Splash. Approach the Bone Morte from below, jump to attack, and fall back to avoid its projectiles. After defeating another Morte, return to the Bone Morte's former location to find a Red Chest containing 500g. Proceed through the doorway to the right.
Enter the next doorway on the right to find the shelter that will house your HQ. Descend to the bottom floor and go through the door on the right to find Johannes.
Alchemy Services
Johannes offers four main services:
- Craft: Create items using materials gathered from enemies, exploration, or dismantling. Recipes are required for some items.
- Prepare: Make dishes from food ingredients. These provide healing and permanent stat increases upon first consumption. Ingredients can be found or bought.
- Enhance Shard: Upgrade the rank of your shards using materials, improving their effectiveness.
- Dismantle: Break down unwanted items into their component materials. This costs an Alkahest.
Items crafted through Alchemy are added to Dominique's shop inventory.
Dominique’s Shop
Dominique offers a variety of goods, including potions and gear. You can also sell items and shards to her. Her stock expands as you craft new items. Consider crafting better gear before purchasing from her to save money and materials.
After visiting the shop, proceed through the door to the right of Johannes to save your game.
The Villagers & Quests
Return to the stairs and jump to the middle level. On the right side, you'll find Lindsay, who offers Kill Quests. Her first quest is to kill five Mortes to avenge her husband, rewarding you with three Rings. Lindsay offers many quests throughout the game, so check back with her regularly.
Loot the Chest (#2) nearby after accepting her quest.
