8. Everything starts from zero

After ascending the throne, leave the castle and greet your two ministers, Liam and Verde.

Talk to Howser, who has waited 35 years for a king, and then sit on the throne to command your ministers.

Howser will brief you: you have 3 ministers, 3 cows, 12 citizens, a 0% job rate, and an empty treasury. Your immediate goal is treasure hunting.

Summon carefree adults to help you raise 100000 Bol.

Leave the castle and cross the bridge to find and recruit five carefree adults.

Return to the castle with your recruits and head northwest to a hole in the ground. Send your adults to dig for gold coins.

Go back south to the watch tower and dig up more coins from another hole at its base.

Head east from the town center to find a crack on the ground. East of this crack, break open three bushes to reveal another hole. Dig until a bag of coins appears.

With the treasures collected, dismiss your group and reenter the castle. Sit on the throne to exchange treasures for Bol. You should obtain 100000 Bol.

With your finances addressed, focus on developing your kingdom. The unemployment rate is still 100%.

You are shown the Kingdom Plans menu to expand your kingdom. The available new plans are: Farmhouse (Region: Castle Town, Cost: 90000 Bol) to train farmers specializing in excavating holes, and Guard hut (Region: Castle Town, Cost: 100000 Bol) to train grunt soldiers specializing in battle.

It is suggested to build the Farmhouse first to open up cracks sooner. Howser states the farmhouse will be ready the next day.

Go to bed. The next day, leave the castle and find the farmhouse on the east side of Castle Town.

Summon all citizens and send them into the farmhouse one by one to become farmers. Your next objective is to gather another 100000 Bol for a new workplace.

With your 5 farmers, go east from Castle Town to the previously found crack. Use a farmer to open the crack and reveal a hot spring.

Cross the bridge back to your castle and head northeast to find another crack. Digging here will reveal a gold bar.

Return to the castle with the gold bar, dismiss your group, and sit on the throne to cash in. You will earn exactly 100000 Bol, enough to build the Guard Hut.

Your current kingdom status is: 3 ministers, 3 cows, 5 chickens, and 12 citizens.

The next day, Howser will unveil his plan: a suggestion box and a plan for the Town Square. Your new goal is to collect 1200000 Bol.

Leave the castle and find the Guard Hut across the bridge. Transform 7 subjects into soldiers and take 5 with you.

Break through the wooden barrier to the south and pick up timber. You will find turnip patches. Break open turnips for Turnips and Good Turnips. Be aware that some turnips are hostile and attack with kicks preceded by angry fumes; retreat when you see the fumes.

Go west, reaping turnips. At a fork, take the southern path, break through fallen logs, and follow the path past a sign to reach Over There Beach. Deceased citizens will be found here.

On the beach, find and smash three logs to reveal a hole, requiring farmers.

Return to Castle Town, fighting past turnips. Replace two soldiers with farmers and return to the beach.

Dig open holes in the cleared turnip patches for gold coins. Dig the hole on the beach for more gold coins.

East of the beach, break open two pots for a lucky item and a sweet.

Fight your way back to Castle Town, dismiss your group, and sit on the throne to cash in the treasures. Turnips can be worth between 10000 and 80000 Bol.

If you do not have enough money, save and go to bed. Liam may inform you about the bed's function.

The next day, recruit three soldiers and two farmers.
