Walkthrough

    Pass through the fog to face the archdemon of the Shrine of Storms: the Storm King.

    Exit the cave and make a dash to the far side of the area, staying close to the cliff on the left.

    Locate the large stone pillar with the glowing sword at its base – this is the Storm Ruler.

    Pick up the Storm Ruler. This weapon allows you to shoot EXTREMELY powerful bursts of wind power at the storm beasts and the Storm King. Always use both hands with the Storm Ruler to increase power and speed.

    Along the right side of the area, about halfway between the entrance and the far cliffs, find a small broken-down shack. This shack serves as a safe haven; hide between its walls and rocks. Holy Arrows can be found here.

    Peek out from the shack to slash at nearby storm beasts.

    Once the majority of storm beasts are gone, the Storm King will start swooping in close. Dash out from safety and launch a strong attack at the Storm King, then quickly return to safety. Repeat this process until the Storm King is defeated.

  • The Storm King is weak against Magic and Fire.
  • Melee fighters cannot deal damage to the boss at close range without the Storm Ruler.
  • The Storm Ruler is essential for melee fighters to damage the Storm King.
  • The shack on the right side provides a good safe haven from the Storm King's attacks.
  • When using the Storm Ruler, always use both hands for increased power and speed.
  • The Ring of Avarice can increase soul earnings when grinding souls.

After the battle, touch the Archstone to transport back to the Nexus. This area becomes the best soul grinding spot in the game with the Storm Ruler equipped.
