- 3You will reach Bert, a guard who informs you the road to Bowerstone is closed until Thag and his gang are dealt with.
- 4Follow the golden trail to the bandit camp and enter.
- 5Defeat the bandits who ambush you.
- 6Thag will emerge from his house; defeat him.
- 7Your dog is now hurt. Walk up to your dog, press RB (the button to interact with your dog), choose 'Dog', then choose 'Heal'.
- 8Enter Thag's house and open the chest to find Thag's Cage Key, Rancid Beef Jerky, and 300 gold.
- 9You can also grab the Grubby Journal from his bed.
- 10Exit Thag's house. A bandit named Dick will demand the key. You can choose to free the people or give the key to Dick.
- 11Follow the golden trail to Bowerstone Market.
- 12Once inside, turn right towards an archway leading into a building.
- 13Move towards the stairs and find a chest on the left.
- 14Exit this building and turn right towards the 'Bowerstone's Big Pile of Stuff' store.
- 15Speak to the General Goods Trader. It is recommended to sell your Jets and the Necklace.
- 16It is recommended to buy the Rubber Ball to play with your dog and the Lute for an expression.
- 17Cross the bridge towards the Town Square and enter the clock tower.
- 18Theresa will inform you she is 5 minutes away.
- 19Go to the blacksmith on the right and sell your Rusty Longsword.
- 20Enter the bookstore "Fiction Burns", opposite the "Up in Arms" store.
- 21It is recommended to buy "Treasure Hunting. Book 1" and "The Dogs of War. Book 1".
- 22Go up to your dog. When the book icon appears on your D-Pad (directional pad), press down to "upgrade" your dog. You can buy better books later.
- 23Do as you wish until Theresa arrives. You can check out the Pub Game in "The Cow & Corset" bar, buy new clothing, or work as a blacksmith.
- 24When Theresa arrives, she will be standing near the bar. Walk up to her and she will speak to you. You will be able to use an expression with the D-Pad for the first time in this scene.
- 25Follow Theresa, and she will show you The Spire.
- 26After receiving cards, follow the golden trail to Bowerstone Old Town. The area's appearance depends on who you gave the Warrants to as a child.
- 27From Bowerstone Old Town, you can go to Bowerstone Cemetery, where there is a Demon Door.
- 28Follow the golden trail out of Bowerstone Old Town and onto Rookridge.
- 29Follow the path and find a person looting a carriage; you can pick up items here.
- 30Continue along the path and encounter bandits; defeat them with a long-range weapon.
- 31Continue following the golden trail and you will be attacked again.
- 32Down the hill, you will have an opportunity to ambush bandits; do so. There is also a Demon Door in this area.
- 33Continue to a broken bridge. The bandits will tell you to dive.
- 34Dive and swim to the beach on the left, where you will find a person needing help.
- 35Enter Hobbe Cave. The person will follow you.
- 36Advance through the cave until you reach a room full of bones, where the person will vomit.
- 37Advance further to fight Hobbes for the first time.
- 38Go up the rickety walkways and advance to a locked door.
- 39Follow your dog to a side tunnel.
- 40You will reach a room with sand and blood. Break through the wooden boards to meet Herman's son, who is now a Hobbe.
- 41Continue through the next large area filled with Hobbes and exit into Rookridge again.
- 42You can visit the Rookridge Inn, located a little way up the hill.

- 48A Rusty Turret Pistol can be found in a Dive spot under the bridge here.
- 49Follow the golden trail up to The Temple of Light. The abbot will state he does not trust you enough and you need more Renown Points.
- 50He will inform you of a bandit problem in Rookridge. The "A Bridge Too Far" quest is technically a side quest; refer to the Side Quests section for completion details.
- 51After completing "A Bridge Too Far", return to Bowerstone to receive side quests: The Sculptor (again), The Temple of Shadows, Till Death Do Us Part, and The Archeologist. Refer to the Side Quests section if you wish to pursue them.

- 53Walk with the abbot as he explains the next steps.
- 54Follow the golden trail to Hannah, who is by the Wellspring Cave. You will hear her singing as you approach.

- 56Continue through the tunnel and a large open area with a steep descent until you reach a large circular room called the Central Chamber.
- 57Go through the first door on the left.
- 58Advance along the tunnels until you reach the room at the end. A Silver Key is located behind the platform here.
- 59Hannah will go up the steps and stand on a platform.
