Learn how to start your second playthrough in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, including unlocking Finis difficulty and achieving S Rank on The Akademeia Liberation mission.

After clearing your first playthrough of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, save your game to a new slot. Note your current stats:

Before starting the second playthrough, access the Rubicus from the main menu and select Annals of Orience. Scroll to the last unlocked entry to watch the Chapter of Truth. This cutscene explains events after the final battle and introduces Tiz and Joker, who will briefly appear again in the second playthrough.

Load your cleared save to begin the second playthrough. While the initial cutscenes are identical to the first playthrough, you will now have knowledge of the storytellers and Izana Kunagiri's mission to reach Ace.

• For the HD version, completing the first playthrough unlocks the Finis difficulty in the main story. The PSP version does not have this option and restricts players to Officer difficulty for all subsequent playthroughs.

The Akademeia Liberation (S Rank)

This mission remains the same as in previous playthroughs, but your characters will be significantly more powerful. The author achieved an S Rank in 7 minutes without actively trying.
