    Watch the cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) where Rem leaves the party.

    Pick up 3 Knowing Tags in the current area.

    Go to Fountain Courtyard and wait while watching flashing images. A level 99 Rursan Reaver will appear; let Avoid handle its attacks.

    After the narrator explains the current world situation and the chapter title appears, you will be at Fountain Courtyard.

    Step back to pick up 2 Knowing Tags.

    Move forward to pick up 1 Knowing Tag near the way to Arena and 1 Knowing Tag near the way to Entrance.

    Go to Airship Landing and pick up 2 more Knowing Tags.

    Return to Fountain Courtyard and head toward Entrance.

Now is your free time, which has no time limit but restricts you from leaving the area.

Events during Free Time:

  • Classroom Zero: Trigger Sice's event (Cutscene) for a Mega Ether. This must be done before talking to Queen at Classroom Zero.
  • Central Command: Talk to an Orderly for a conversation and an Elixir. After this, you can watch Aria's Final Moments in the Rubicus.
  • Central Command: Talk to Ryid for a cutscene and a Megalixir. This is only possible if you did NOT trigger Ryid's event in Chapter 7 Free Time 1.
  • Central Command: Talk to Mutsuki for a cutscene and a Megalixir. This is only possible if you did NOT trigger Mutsuki's event in Chapter 7 Free Time 1.
  • Crystarium: Talk to Quon for a cutscene and a Megalixir. This is only possible if you did NOT trigger Quon's event in Chapter 7 Free Time 2.
  • Crystarium: Talk to Carla for a cutscene and a Megalixir. This is only possible if you did NOT trigger Carla's event in Chapter 7 Free Time 2.

Warning: These events are missable and will be permanently gone if their prerequisite events in Chapter 7 were triggered. The only way to experience them later is by starting a new game.

When you are finished, restock Hi-Potions at the Orderly in Classroom Zero and assign the item to a shortcut. Save at the Relic Terminal, then talk to Celestia at Entrance to begin the Invasion of the Rursus and complete this chapter.

  • Pay close attention to the missable events; triggering certain interactions in Chapter 7 will lock you out of these specific scenes and rewards.
