Your mission is to rendezvous with a Pelican dropship for extraction before the entire structure collapses, taking you with it.

Recommended Loadout & Strategy

• Primary Weapon: Shotgun / Assault Rifle: The Shotgun is absolutely devastating against Flood Combat Forms and Infection Forms at close range, often one-shotting them. The Assault Rifle provides a good balance for sustained fire against larger groups or other Covenant remnants.
• Secondary Weapon: Plasma Pistol / Battle Rifle: A charged Plasma Pistol shot is invaluable for stripping shields from Brutes or Elites, allowing for a quick follow-up kill. The Battle Rifle is excellent for precision shots against distant targets or for headshotting unshielded enemies.

Walkthrough: Evacuation Route

Phase 1: Initial Collapse and Flood Encounter

1. Starting Point: Control Room Core: You'll begin near the central control console where Truth initiated the Ark's firing. The room will be shaking violently, and sparks will fly.
2. First Flood Wave: Immediately, Flood Infection Forms and Combat Forms (often reanimating fallen Covenant or UNSC soldiers) will swarm the area. Prioritize the Infection Forms to prevent them from creating new Combat Forms. Use your Shotgun liberally.
3. Exit the Control Room: Follow Commander Miranda Keyes and Sergeant Johnson as they lead the way. The main exit corridor will be partially blocked by debris. You'll need to navigate through smaller, crumbling sections.
4. Corridor Ambush (Brutes & Flood): As you proceed through the first set of corridors, you'll encounter a chaotic battle between remaining Brute forces and the newly arrived Flood. Let them fight each other initially, then clean up the survivors. Focus fire on Brute Chieftains if present, as they pose the biggest threat.
5. Environmental Hazards: Be extremely wary of falling debris and exploding conduits. These can deal significant damage or even instantly kill you on higher difficulties. Look for visual cues like sparks or shaking before entering an area.

Phase 2: Navigating the Crumbling Facility

6. Maintenance Tunnels: Keyes will guide you into a series of cramped maintenance tunnels. These are prime locations for Flood ambushes. Keep your Shotgun ready.
7. Specific Location: "Gamma Junction" (Approximate): You'll pass through a larger, circular junction room with several collapsed walkways. Flood will drop from the ceiling and emerge from side passages. This is a good spot to deploy a Bubble Shield if you're overwhelmed.
8. Brute Resistance: Expect pockets of desperate Brute resistance, often accompanied by Jackals and Grunts. They are trying to escape the Flood themselves, leading to multi-faction firefights. Use cover effectively and target Brute Pack Leaders first.
9. Collapsing Bridge Segment: At one point, you'll cross a long bridge-like structure that begins to buckle and fall apart. Sprint across this section without stopping. If you hesitate, you risk falling into the abyss below.

Phase 3: Reaching the Extraction Point

10. Pelican Hangar Approach: As you near the designated extraction point, the environment will become even more unstable. Large sections of the facility will be tearing apart.
11. Final Flood & Brute Stand: The area just before the Pelican hangar will be heavily contested. Expect a large concentration of Flood Combat Forms, Pure Forms (Stalkers, Ranged, Tanks), and a final desperate stand by Brute forces, possibly including a Brute Chieftain with a Fuel Rod Cannon.
12. Prioritize Targets:
    • Flood Pure Forms (Tank): Keep your distance and focus fire on their weak points.
    • Brute Chieftains: Strip shields with Plasma Pistol, then headshot.
    • Flood Combat Forms: Shotgun to the chest/head at close range.
13. Rendezvous with Pelican: Once the immediate area is clear, sprint to the waiting Pelican dropship. A short cutscene will play as you board and escape the collapsing Ark.

Common Pitfalls & Tips

• Don't Linger: While you need to clear enemies, the environment is constantly collapsing. Don't waste time exploring or trying to find every last collectible during this frantic escape. Focus on the objective.
• Stick with Allies: Johnson and Keyes, along with any surviving Marines, can draw enemy fire and provide supporting fire. Keep them alive if possible, especially Johnson, who is a formidable combatant.
• Conserve Ammo (Slightly): While you'll find ammo drops, the pace is relentless. Try to make each shot count, especially with your Shotgun.
• Listen for Audio Cues: The game provides excellent audio cues for incoming Flood forms (their distinctive growls and skittering) and environmental collapses (creaking, groaning, explosions). Pay attention to these.
