Don't get lost looking for Jova's Blacksmith in Hell is Us! Follow this guide to find the red tunnel, defeat Hollow Walkers, and meet Victor.
Alright, so you've just started up Hell is Us and you've heard your mom's got a connection to a blacksmith in Jova. Makes sense, right? Once you get the lay of the land and know where Jova is, you'll want to hop in the APC and head over there. When you roll up, you'll see a road leading down. Take it, hang a right, and keep going towards that big mass grave you might have spotted. That'll lead you into the Marsh area. Now, you've got a choice: you can head left towards the Jova village you can see marked on the road. That'll get you into the village, and you can find the smithy, but here's the catch – both the village and the smithy will be locked up tight. Not ideal, right?
Instead of heading straight for the village, what you really want to do is make your way to the absolute northeast of the map. From Jova, take the northern exit and follow the bridges that cross over the marsh. Keep pushing on until you reach the Sabinian Family Tree. You'll see a road heading into a mountain off to the northeast from there – follow that road. It's going to take you to a tunnel, and you'll know it when you see it because it's got red lighting all over it. Keep an eye out around here, you can snag some awesome loot like the neutral spear and a drone module.
Once you're in the tunnel, you'll have to deal with a bunch of Hollow Walkers and a bigger enemy blocking the door further down. Clear them out, then open that door. Inside, you'll find an ON worker and a guy named Victor. This Victor is your guy – he's the Blacksmith's apprentice! Chat with him, and he'll spill the beans, giving you the key to Vitalis' house. Vitalis is the blacksmith you're looking for, by the way.
With Vitalis' house key in hand, you can now head into the house right next to the smithy and get on with your quest. You'll also need to tackle Vitalis' basement puzzle to move forward. Hint: It's got something to do with the numbers on the box carts. After you're done in the basement, Victor should open up the smithy for you. That's where you can unlock and equip glyphs and weapon upgrades, among other cool stuff. Don't forget to grab the Vigil note from the basement room and take it to Viktor – that'll unlock the next area you need to visit, Vyssa Hills.
You should now be able to head to Vyssa Hills using the APC. Once you arrive, look for a statue of a Sabinian Knight. From there, you'll get a lead about a convoy on the road, which will point you towards the Blacksmith of Jova.
