Walkthrough

Exit the safe house garage into the street. Return to the safe house if you need ammo.

Enter the house with the flaming oil drum nearby for more ammo.

Hold out in the house, covering entrances if the Horde appears.

Exit into the woods, watching for Hunters and Smokers in concealed areas. Check the shack for items.

Continue to Riverside Park and follow the dirt trail to a roofed-in area with picnic benches.

Proceed past the picnic benches to the boathouse. A cabin is located to the left in the woods.

Explore the cabin for ammo, first-aid kits, pain pills, molotov cocktails, and pipe bombs.

Enter the boathouse and explore for ammo, upgraded weapons, and first-aid kits.

Answer the radio to signal your presence.

Explore the area and know your surroundings before summoning rescue.

Grab a fuel can (usually on the balcony on the top floor) and throw it on the boathouse doorstep.

As the first Infected appear, torch the fuel can.

Stay on the minigun to shoot the Horde as they swarm from the forest.

After the first minute, ditch the minigun to help teammates as Infected numbers increase.

Be aware that Infected will climb walls, enter the house through windows, and destroy wooden railings.

Tips

The cabin in the woods contains valuable supplies like ammo, first-aid kits, pain pills, molotov cocktails, and pipe bombs. While not ideal for defending against the Horde, it's worth visiting for stocking up.
The boathouse also contains ammo, upgraded weapons, and first-aid kits.
Pipe bombs were found on a crate on the top floor of the boathouse.
Pipe bombs and molotov cocktails were found on the back end of the balcony.
More molotov cocktails were found on the first-floor porch.
Defending from the top floor balcony (on the awning next to the minigun) or the front porch of the boathouse is recommended.
The front porch is considered the best choice due to the proximity of ammo, first-aid kits, and hand-tossed weapons.
Always carry a hand-tossed weapon and an assault rifle.
Toss a pipe bomb in a distant area to reduce enemy numbers if your partners are surrounded.
If a Tank appears, run through the house to the back porch to grab a molotov cocktail.
Tanks are easier to deal with in this area due to the ample space compared to the Rooftop Finale.
