Alright, so you've wrapped up the story mission "Eye of the Storm" and Dareel's research report, right? Good! Now it's time to help out Samin. You'll find him chilling in the research tent at the Windward Plains Base Camp, right next to Dareel. Turns out, Samin's a bit competitive and wants you to do a favor for him too, just like you did for Dareel. This is the start of a fun little rivalry between them!

Samin's request is pretty straightforward: he wants you to find a specific Endemic Life creature called the Dapperwing. Let's get hunting!

Dapperwing Location:

Your best bet for finding the Dapperwing is in the Scarlet Forest. They tend to show up more often during the day, especially when the season is "Plenty." Keep an eye out for a couple of prime spots:

• Area 15: Head towards the southeast part of the map, specifically under a waterfall. You'll see some small pillars sticking out of the ground – that's where a few Dapperwings like to hang out.
• Area 17: On the northwestern side of the map, near the top of another waterfall, you'll find some more Dapperwings perched on rocks.

Once you spot one, quickly equip your Capture Net and snag it! After you've got your Dapperwing, head back to Samin at the Windward Plains Base Camp.

Pro-Tip: If you're having trouble finding the right time or season, remember you can change the time of day and environment state by selecting "rest" at any tent (whether it's a Base Camp or a Pop-up tent). Just be aware it'll cost you 300 Guild Points.

For your efforts, Samin will give you ten Blue Mushrooms, five Honey, and 50 Guild Points. It might not seem like a huge haul, but hey, every little bit helps, right?
