Hey there! Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a massive game, but sometimes the coolest stuff is in the little details. Let's talk about a couple of neat items you might overlook.

Boomerang: The Tiny Hunter's Best Friend

You might see the Boomerang and think, "What's this little thing gonna do?" It's true, they're not going to be your go-to for taking down a Rathalos. But honestly, the fact that they even included them is awesome! You can grab these at the Provisions shop, which is located in the Gathering Hub on the 4th Floor of Astera. Look for the lady to the left of the arena quest counter. You can buy up to five at a time. I messed around with them for a bit in the Ancient Forest, and while they do low damage, they're actually pretty neat for taking down smaller creatures or just for fun. If you're farming for something like Vespoids, they might even be useful!

Binoculars: See What You're Hunting

Another handy little tool is the Binoculars. Yep, you can buy these from the same sales lady at the Provisions Shop in Astera's Gathering Hub. They're super cheap and might seem like a novelty, but they've got a surprisingly useful 2.0x to 10.0x zoom! This is fantastic for scouting out monster locations from a distance or just getting a better look at your target before you charge in. I personally always keep a spot for them in my item pouch.
