Master all 8 status effects in Outriders Worldslayer. Learn how Ash, Freeze, Slow, Bleed, Burn, Toxic, Vulnerable, and Weakness impact gameplay and how to counter them.

Status effects in Outriders Worldslayer are distinct from buffs and debuffs. They can be inflicted by weapons, abilities, or enemy attacks, penalizing the target. Currently, there are 8 status effects in the game. Some can be removed, while others persist for their duration. Only one stack of a status effect can be applied to any enemy or player at a time. This is crucial in group play; for instance, multiple Technomancers applying Toxic is redundant if the enemy can only suffer one stack. Instead, coordinating different status effects like Toxic and Freeze maximizes benefits.

Status effects can be reapplied before their duration expires to reset it. Both players and enemies can gain resistance to most status effects through abilities, mods, or natural resistance (for Elites). If a particular status effect proves challenging, consider adjusting your mod loadout.
