Walkthrough:

  1. Position riflemen/machinegunners on the north side of the road inside the gate for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects).
  2. Place a sniper on the south side of the road near a small rise north of the hangar to target guards near the closest Zeros.
  3. When guards investigate, have the men on the ridge eliminate them.
  4. Position your Heavy Weapons (HW) man behind the same small rise as the sniper to flank or get behind the passing tank.
  5. Warning: Avoid heading too far west, as more guards are located there near a destroyed AA gun.
  6. Alternatively, if you chose the AT Mine route, observe the tank's patrol path near the southern hangar and lay mines for its next pass.
  7. If you eliminated all guards in the control tower earlier, you can skip heading south. Otherwise, to collect additional items like a Type 99 MG, more grenades, and first aid kits, proceed to the tower complex.
  8. The tower is west/southwest of the southern hangar, with a small rise between them. The tower area is fenced with a western opening.
  9. South of the tower is a guard house with items inside, guarded by one soldier and an officer.
  10. West of the tower area, across a road, is a set of crates guarded by a pistol-wielding guard.
  11. Northwest of the crates is another AA gun emplacement with a guard.
  12. Sneak to the east side of the tower fence to eliminate nearby guards, then snipe the remaining guards in the area.
  13. Enter the tower area, pick the lock on the shack for goodies, and climb the tower to acquire the Type 99 MG and other items.
  14. Return north to begin the final assault.
  15. Move your men to the intersection of the base entrance road and the road going north past the Zeros and hangars.
  16. Each Zero has a pilot/guard nearby, and the hangars have infantry (unless previously drawn off).
  17. The first two hangars have no opposition, but the northernmost hangar has two guards and an officer in front.
  18. From the SW corner of the hangar area, eliminate the guard on the second Zero.
  19. Creep slightly north, near timber piles by the hangar fence entrance, to eliminate the third Zero's guard.
  20. Enter the hangar fence area.
  21. Position two machinegunners/SMG-ers under cover behind small crates in front of a hangar to set an ambush.
  22. Ambush the northern guards by sniping the officer and running into the nearest hangar.
  23. Your men should eliminate the remaining guards, clearing the way to snipe the last Zero guard.
  24. Warning: Do not move further west than the Zeros to avoid attracting attention from guards on the western edge of the base.
  25. Collect dynamite, grenades, and a Japanese bazooka from the southern two hangars.
  26. Find a Type 99, health kits, and plans for an experimental plane (secondary objective) in the northernmost hangar.
  27. Use explosives (dynamite, bazooka rounds) to destroy all four Zeros. A demo expert can use one charge per plane; the bazooka has seven rounds, which may require two per plane.
  28. Once all four Zeros are destroyed, head south out of the base to the east and follow the road until
