Complete Part 20 and Operation Mongoose in Pacific Drive. Learn how to destroy guns, defeat the commander, and clear tunnel complexes.
Walkthrough
- 1Head north from your current position to find a gun on a hilltop, guarded by a sniper. Take out the sniper and destroy the gun.
- 2As you approach the first gun, you will see a second, northernmost gun. This is also guarded by a sniper.
- 3To the west of the second gun's hill, there is an opening in the fence with bunkers and sandbags. Set up an ambush for any guards investigating noise from this opening.
- 4Snipe the guard at the northernmost gun and destroy both guns.
- 5Return south towards the first gun you destroyed, then head south/southeast to find the last gun.
- 6Eliminate the single guard and destroy the final gun.
- 7Proceed south to the southern tip of the palisade and locate a single-occupied log bunker.
- 8East/southeast of this bunker is a larger log bunker with two gunners. Use stealth to eliminate them.
- 9Be aware of a tank patrolling east/west on the road in front of these bunkers. It pauses directly in front of the larger log bunker, allowing for a bazooka attack.
- 10Japanese snipers are in concrete bunkers on the rise south of the road, but are out of range unless you are inside the log bunkers.
- 11Once the tank and bunkers are cleared, follow the gully road east towards the command camp.
- 12At the fork in the gully road, the left path leads north to the camp, and the right path heads east to the exit zone.
- 13A double-occupancy log bunker is on the southeast corner overlooking the fork, with two small bunkers on the northeast edge.
- 14An officer and three guards (two Type 100s and a Type 4 bazooka-man) are down the eastern exit road.
- 15A tank patrols from the command camp south towards the fork.
- 16Two buildings are on the southern edge of the camp, near a small palisade wall, housing the commander and two or three guards.
- 17To clear the opposition, kill everyone guarding the fork and the guards down the exit road.
- 18From the log bunkers on the artillery hill, cross the road south and head east, avoiding mined areas on the ridge top.
- 19Approach the log bunker on the southeast corner of the fork. Set three men for ambush and have the fourth snipe through the side window, using trees for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) from concrete bunker snipers to the north.
- 20Snipe the guards inside the log bunker, then rush in to kill any survivors and collect their items. This bunker can also be used to attack the officer and trio of guards.
- 21Once these four are dead, snipe the concrete bunkers across the way to the north.
- 22Head north from the cleared area to find a bunker overlooking the road into the camp. This is near the tank's patrol loop point.
- 23Take out the guard in this bunker.
- 24You can then choose to snipe the officer or take out the tank and prepare an ambush for the camp denizens.
- 25To take out the tank, watch its path and lay a mine, or hide and blast it with a bazooka as it turns away.
- 26The houses are north of the plateau with the last bunker. The officer is visible in the northeastern house.
- 27If you snipe the officer, ensure your team is set to ambush rushing guards and to cover you if you are too close to the camp when blasting the tank.
- 28Once the commander is dead, head back to the fork and then east to the exit zone.
Tips
- Use the minimap (a small map displayed on your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), or Heads-Up Display, showing your immediate surroundings) to navigate and identify enemy positions.
- Employ stealth and cover (natural or man-made objects that block enemy line of sight and projectiles) to approach enemy positions undetected.
- Utilize your team effectively by setting up ambushes and assigning specific roles like sniping or covering.
- Listen carefully for the sound of the tank's engine to anticipate its movements.
- The log bunkers can provide excellent cover and vantage points for sniping.
- Be mindful of mines on the ridge tops.
