    Explore each small island slowly, checking the very bottom and very top of each spot to ensure you don't miss any of the 60 Brains.

    Restock on ammo, as your weapons will be quite weak initially.

    Defeat the 10 types of enemies present: Telepathopus, Sandsharks, Big Crabs, Lizard Biters, Lizard Spitters, Flying Dinosaurs, Blarg Troopers, Turret Blarg, Warbots, and Dropships.

    The Telepathopus can be defeated effectively up close with the Pyrocitor (Level 4 or 5 recommended).

    If you have found 57/60 Brains, the last 3 are located at the bottom left of the map.

    To obtain the Gold Bolt in this area, you must hit all 3 pressure pads.

    Consider returning with the Map-o-Matic (found on Kalebo III near the end of the game) to more easily find any missed Brains.
