Alright, let's talk about Rilgar! This water-logged planet is famous for its entertainment capital, Blackwater City. You'll know it best for its awesome hoverboard racing championships. But watch out, the city's sewers are also a hotbed for some shady dealings in the underground weapons market. When Ratchet and Clank first visited, they were there to compete in the hoverboard race and hopefully find Captain Qwark. This was all happening during an amoeboid infestation, which is pretty wild. Later on, they returned to help the Galactic Rangers fight off a tyhrranoid invasion. You'll see Rilgar pop up in the original _Ratchet & Clank_, _Up Your Arsenal_, and of course, the 2016 re-imagined game. History on Rilgar Before Ratchet and Clank even showed up, Dr. Nefarious was cooking up trouble here. He created the amoeboids in a secret lab in the swamps of Blackwater City. Captain Qwark got wind of it and tried to defend the city, but Nefarious's army was a real problem. Qwark eventually chased Nefarious off the planet. Around the same time, Skidd McMarx and Chester St. Cloud were having epic hoverboard races, going head-to-head for three years straight! The _Ratchet & Clank_ Visit This is where you'll likely remember Rilgar from. The big Hovercon Intergalactic Hoverboard Competition was happening in Blackwater City, with Captain Qwark himself set to give out the prize. The planet was still dealing with those amoeboids, and the city officials were trying to downplay it. A reporter named Darla Gratch from _Channel 2 News_ even got eaten by one while reporting on the scene! You'll find an infobot with her last report, which might encourage you to check out the hoverboard races yourself. In the mission "Win the hoverboard race", you'll be racing against others.
