New Friends, Old Problems

Follow this Red Dead Redemption walkthrough for 'New Friends, Old Problems' to help Bonnie Macfarlane, get your first repeater, and clear out some pests.

Alright, partner! After that cut-scene with Bonnie wraps up, you'll want to head outside. Take a left and follow the dirt path around until you reach Bonnie's house – it's marked by that blue dot on your map. Go up to her porch and have a chat. Once you're done talking, hop on your horse that's waiting nearby.

Bonnie's gonna give you a quick tour of the town. Just hold down A/X to keep pace with her as you ride through the streets. When you get back to where you started, hitch your horse by pressing X/Square and then follow Bonnie back to her place.

Inside her house, you'll snag your very first extra gun: the Repeater Carbine. This rifle is a real workhorse, and you'll be using it a lot. After that, head to the back of the house. Bonnie will point out a bunch of pesky Waskily Wabbits munching on her crops.

Dismount your horse and bring up your rifle. Use LT/L2 to auto-lock onto each rabbit, one by one. After you've taken down a couple, hop back on your horse and follow Bonnie again.

As you ride along, you'll run into some coyotes that need dealing with. Lock onto them and take careful shots. There are five in total, and they're pretty easy to handle. As soon as you get back to your house, make sure to hitch your horse and then save your game!
