Alright, so you've just finished the raid on Fort Mercer, and now Irish wants to get you across the river into Mexico. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, this is Red Dead Redemption, so of course it's not going to go smoothly. You'll end up heading downstream instead of across!

First things first, keep an eye out on the boxes of the raft. There's a Springfield Rifle there that's super easy to miss, but you'll definitely want it. There's also an unlimited supply of rifle ammo in a nearby box. You're going to run into some serious trouble as you float down the river, so make sure you use that rifle to pick off enemies from a distance. Staying in cover is key here.

Just a heads-up, that rifle has a slow reload, so be careful if you're surrounded by enemies. Also, keep an eye out for the dynamite throwers. They're usually right next to a box of TNT, which can actually be pretty useful for taking out groups of enemies if you can get them to blow themselves up. Towards the end of this little river trip, you'll see a couple of bandits chilling on horses. Take them out from afar, and when you finally reach the shore, you and Irish will grab their horses and go your separate ways. Welcome to Mexico, partner!
