Alright, let's talk about armor in Remnant: From the Ashes. Think of it as your second skin, giving you that crucial protection against all the nasty stuff you'll run into out there. Your gear is split into three parts: a helmet, body armor, and leg armor. This guide will break down all the different armor pieces you can snag and how they work together.

Acquiring New Armor

When you first start out, Rigs over at Ward 13 will hook you up with your initial armor set. He's also got starting sets for the other character Archetypes if you fancy trying them out. As you venture into the different worlds, you'll stumble upon more unique armor. Sometimes you'll get it as a quest reward, sometimes you'll have to craft it, and other times you'll just find it lying around.

Upgrading Armor

Just like your weapons, you can beef up your armor pieces to make them more effective. This primarily means increasing their Armor value. Don't worry, the weight and resistance stats won't change. To get your armor upgraded, you'll need to take the required materials to Rigs back at Ward 13 and cough up the cash.

The materials you'll need are Lumenite Crystals and some type of iron. The kind of iron needed depends on how high you're upgrading the piece. Here's the progression:

• Iron
• Forged Iron
• Galvanized Iron
• Hardened Iron

For most armor pieces, to get them to their absolute max level, you'll also need a single piece of Simulacrum. So, keep an eye out for that rare material!

Armor Skins

Want to change up how your character looks without sacrificing stats? You can buy skins to alter your armor's appearance. Whispers, another vendor at Ward 13, sells skins for individual armor pieces. You'll need Glowing Fragments to buy them, which you can earn in a few ways:

• You can get them as rewards for beating bosses in Campaign or Adventure Modes on Hard difficulty.
• They might drop from Elite enemies in Survival Mode.
• They can also be a reward from the Fetid Pools dungeon on Corsus.
