Hey there! So, you're diving into Remnant: From the Ashes and wondering about the different ways to play? It's pretty straightforward. You can switch up your game mode right from the World Stone in Ward 13 by selecting the 'World Settings' option. You've got three main choices: Campaign, Adventure, and Survival Mode.

Let's break 'em down so you know exactly what you're getting into.

Campaign

This is where you'll experience the main story of Remnant. You actually have a choice between two campaigns:

• From the Ashes: This is the core story you've probably heard about. It's the main narrative that sets the stage for everything.
• Subject 2923: This is a bit of a follow-up, taking place after the events of 'From the Ashes.' It's a shorter campaign and introduces a new world called Reisum. The cool thing is, you don't have to finish 'From the Ashes' before jumping into 'Subject 2923,' and you can start either with a brand new character.

Adventure

Think of Adventure mode as a way to explore individual worlds without being tied to the main story progression. Whatever you do here, like grinding for items or gear, won't mess with your Campaign progress. It's perfect for when you're hunting for specific loot or just want to revisit a particular biome. To jump into a different world for an Adventure, you'll need to create a new Adventure session for that specific world.

Survival Mode

This mode is part of the Swamps of Corsus DLC and is all about facing a randomized gauntlet of boss fights. You'll start with next to nothing – seriously, you might even be in your underwear! Your journey begins in the Labyrinth, where you get 1,000 Scrap to spend at special 'market' stones. You can grab weapons, armor, traits, consumables, rings, and amulets. Once you're kitted out, you activate the World Stone and get thrown into a random area of a random world. You'll fight your way through the area, tackle a dungeon, and then face a boss. After defeating the boss, you can head back to the Labyrinth to spend your hard-earned rewards. Be warned, though: dying in Survival Mode means starting all over from scratch! It's a fantastic way to try out gear you haven't unlocked in Campaign or Adventure, and if you just love boss fights, this is definitely for you. Plus, it's your best bet for snagging Glowing Fragments.
