Ranged Weapons

Master ranged combat in Rustler. Learn about bows and crossbows, their damage, firing rates, and ammunition needs for effective distant engagements.

Ranged weapons allow you to engage enemies from a distance, providing a tactical advantage in many situations. They require ammunition, so always keep a good supply.

Types of Ranged Weapons:

• Bows: Faster firing rate than crossbows but generally lower damage. Good for harassing groups or picking off weaker targets. Requires arrows.
• Crossbows: Slower to reload but deal significant damage, often capable of one-shotting unarmored enemies with a headshot. Requires bolts.
• Throwables: Items like rocks, knives, or even explosive barrels (if you can find them) can be thrown for quick damage or to distract enemies. These are usually single-use.

Where to Find:

• Weapon Shops: Purchase bows, crossbows, and ammunition.
• Looting Enemies: Archers and crossbowmen will sometimes drop their weapons and ammo.
• Chests: Can contain ranged weapons or bundles of ammunition.
• Environmental Pickups: Rocks and other throwable objects can often be found lying around.

Ranged weapons are excellent for initiating combat, thinning out enemy ranks, or dealing with enemies on higher ground. Always carry a good supply of ammo for your preferred ranged weapon.
