Walkthrough
  1. 1
Clear the initial area of Rotten Walkers and two Rotten Crossbowmen. Be aware of more Walkers spawning from the ground.
  2. 2
Defeat the Drowned Berzerker on the left (approx. 50 HP). Execute him when he kneels. Collect the Red Shard (3) he guards.
  3. 3
Enter the glowing doorway to the right and pick up a Pouch of Salt.
  4. 4
Head back inside. Before climbing, note the collapsing wooden platforms. These graphically indicate floors that will break shortly after standing on them. Be mindful of equipment burden for platforming.
  5. 5
Jump to the first wooden platform, then to the platform with collapsing floors. Head left, making the jump before the floor breaks, or use the stairs on the left. More Walkers will spawn under the ladder.
  6. 6
After clearing the Walkers, proceed left through the doorway. Pick up the Stone Merchant and Bundle of Salt. Kick down the ladder using the Circle button for a shortcut.
  7. 7
Climb the ladder and jump across to collect Torch (3) and Throwing Dagger (20).
  8. 8
Proceed forward to encounter a Feral Beast and a Rotten Crossbowman. For the Feral Beast, be aggressive as they die quickly.
  9. 9
To safely engage, use the 'pulling' combat strategy: hit one enemy with a ranged attack (spell, bow, grenade, Throwing Dagger) to lure it away from others. Take out the Feral Beast first, then the Crossbowman.
  10. 10
After clearing the enemies, collect the Bell of Return behind the Crossbowman.
  11. 11
Ascend the staircase to the left. Be prepared for Skullbats upon entering the next room. They are weak but can inflict Poison.
  12. 12
Continue left, jump over a gap to pick up Red Shard (3), and jump back.
  13. 13
Do not drop onto the collapsing floor to the left. Drop down to the right to collect Stone Cleric.
  14. 14
Drop down again and backtrack to the previous area.
  15. 15
Return to the ladder. Above the entrance you came from is a doorway, and between two doorways is a carved section. The middle section is empty, and the upper doorway leads back to the Skullbat area. Climb the ladder.
  16. 16
Prepare for Rotten Walkers spawning from the ground and a Rotten Crossbowman.
  17. 17
After clearing them, collect the Rogue's Set from a corpse.
  18. 18
Head left. More Skullbats await. Dispatch them and climb up, exiting outside to find Grenado (5) on the floor.
  19. 19
Climb up to face a Drowned Berzerker and at least one Rotten Walker.
  20. 20
After clearing them, pick up the Bandaged Ring. Equip it as it's a decent ring for melee.
  21. 21
The black obelisk cannot be interacted with yet.
Tips
  • Pay attention to your surroundings as enemies like Rotten Walkers can spawn from the ground.
  • Use the execution move (Circle button) on kneeling enemies like the Drowned Berzerker for a quick kill.

  • The 'pulling' combat strategy is useful for isolating enemies.
  • Skullbats can inflict Poison, so be prepared.
  • The Bandaged Ring is a good early-game accessory for melee builds.
