From the Sanctuary, exit left and return to the area with the hidden door.

Drop down above the hidden door ledge and continue left, down stone steps, to enter _The Festering Banquet_.

Kill the Skullbats near the unusable black obelisk.

Continue left, up the stairs, and use the lever to open a gate leading back to the first area of The Festering Banquet.

Pick up the Arrow (20) and Self Bow near the lever.

Drop back down and head left. Be cautious of a collapsing floor that leads to an item. To make the jump, you may need to reduce your equipment burden (e.g., remove chestpiece). Falling can lead to death. The item includes Bundle of Salt and Soldier's Spear.

Proceed right to a small ledge with red carpet to find an NPC merchant.

Beyond the merchant, a closed gate is found. Return to the ledge below the collapsing floor.

Jump down a single ledge (an item is to the left). Stand against the wall and press the reveal button (Circle) to find a hidden door.

Through the hidden door, drop down two ledges to find Lightning Bolt (Spell) and Torch.

Continue dropping to the ground floor. Before proceeding through the doorway, be aware of an Armor Mite.

The path beyond the Armor Mite leads to Stained Page and Stone Mage. The Armor Mite can be avoided or fought.

NPC Merchant - The Beggar:

Sells upgrade materials: Lock of Hair and Endless Fang (basic, for low-level upgrades).
Sells Stained Page, an Arcane enchantment and item to cleanse Sanctuaries of their Creed. (Note: Cleansing Sanctuaries is not recommended at this stage due to tough enemies).
