How to Beat Boss: Kageyama, The Shadow Blade

Kageyama is the first major boss you'll face, encountered at the end of Chapter 1. He is a master of swift swordplay and shadow Ninjutsu, serving as a formidable introduction to the game's challenging boss mechanics.

Phases & Attacks:

1. Phase 1 (100%-50% Health): Kageyama primarily uses fast, multi-hit katana combos. He has a 'Shadow Dash' that quickly closes distances and a 'Spinning Blade' attack that covers a wide area. His attacks are generally parryable, but the timing is tight.
2. Phase 2 (50%-0% Health): Kageyama becomes more aggressive. He gains a 'Shadow Clone' Ninjutsu, summoning a temporary clone that mirrors his attacks. He also introduces a 'Shadow Shuriken' throw, which can inflict a temporary 'Slow' debuff. His 'Spinning Blade' now has a wider radius and a slight delay.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

• Weakness: Kageyama is slightly vulnerable to Fire Ninjutsu.
• Strategy: In Phase 1, focus on learning his combo timings. Dodge into his attacks to get behind him for a counter-attack. If you can master the parry, it will open him up for significant damage. When he uses 'Spinning Blade', dodge away or jump over it. In Phase 2, prioritize eliminating the Shadow Clone quickly with area-of-effect Ninjutsu or a few quick strikes, as it can overwhelm you. When he throws 'Shadow Shurikens', dodge sideways. Use Fireball Ninjutsu when he's recovering from a combo or after a successful parry. Keep your health above 50% at all times, as his combos can be devastating.
