Alright, let's talk about collectibles in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. These aren't your typical achievements you unlock by playing, but rather special items scattered throughout the game. Think of them as hidden treasures that'll give you a nice little bonus when you find them. In the older _Ninja Gaiden_ games, like _Ninja Gaiden_, _Black_, _Sigma_, and _Sigma Plus_, you'd collect these things called Golden Scarabs. You'd hand them over to Muramasa, the weaponsmith, and he'd give you some pretty sweet rewards in return. It's like a little side quest within the main game! Now, _Ninja Gaiden 3_ didn't have these scarabs, which was a bit of a bummer. But don't worry, they made a comeback in _Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge_. This time around, just collecting them was enough to get you rewards. You didn't even have to go back to Muramasa! And get this, you didn't even need to press a button to pick them up; just walking over them was enough. Super convenient! They also showed up in _Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound_, where they acted as currency. You'd use them at Muramasa's shop to buy Talismans. So, they've had a few different roles across the series. There are usually around 50 of these Golden Scarabs to find in total, and they're spread out across the game world. Finding them all can be a real challenge, but the rewards are totally worth it. You can get things like health upgrades, new weapons, Ninpo, and even alternate costumes. Plus, in _Razor's Edge_, collecting them also nets you 5000 Karma each time.
