Walkthrough
- 1Establish a Fast Travel Point in the Aucerius Plains.
- 2Travel to Delryk and speak with Welch to accept the 'Welch the Alchemist' Quest. Complete this quest to unlock Alchemy in the Item Creation menu, allowing you to convert ores into higher-grade materials for crafting weapons and armor via Smithery.
- 3Fast Travel to Rythal and enter the house at the far south of town. Speak with the Sickly Woman to accept the 'A Healing Herb' Quest. Complete this quest before proceeding further.
- 4After completing 'A Healing Herb', speak with the Sickly Woman again. She will give you a letter for her son, the Manipulative Man, initiating the 'A Long-Awaited Message' Quest.
- 5Deliver the letter to the Manipulative Man. He can later be found by the pool at the far east side of Acendros City, near the Materials Shop, where he will offer the 'Mama's Favorite' Quest.
- 6Travel to Eda and head towards the Inn. East of the Inn, in the third house of a row of four, speak with the Aspiring Writer to accept the 'Chapter One in Becoming a Novelist' Quest.
- 7Upon completing 'Chapter One in Becoming a Novelist', return to Acendros City and speak with the Magnificent Writer near the Materials Shop to receive the 'A Glimpse of Talent' Quest.
- 8Fast Travel back to the Aucerius Plains.
- 9East of the entrance to Acendros City, within the shadow of the city wall, find a gold Collection Point containing the area's Hermes Lily.
- 10Southeast of the Hermes Lily's location, find another Collection Point containing the Antique Brooch, which is needed for the Brooch Hunt Quest. Completing this quest rewards you with Cryptographic Message D, which can only be used later.
- 11Southeast from the Antique Brooch's location, near the east zone boundary, find a cluster of DUMA Point Crystals.
- 12Head west to the top of a tall hill and use DUMA to fly up to a small floating island southwest. From there, fly up to a larger island to open a chest containing Rune Metal x1.
- 13Fly southwest from the island with the chest to collect a line of DUMA Point Crystals.
- 14Fly south from the new island to another small island containing a large DUMA Point Crystal.
- 15Return to the small floating island and drop off the northeast side to collect another large DUMA Point Crystal on your way down to the ground.
- 16Locate large, cone-shaped rock formations with a crystal emitting a pillar of light. Cross the road to the west and search at the base of one of these cones to find a chest containing a Shillelagh Rod.
- 17Go back east across the road. In the area where you found the first chest, head southeast. On a floating island, find a chest containing Artisan Pliers.
- 18A large DUMA Point Crystal can be found on a higher floating island to the west. Several small clusters of DUMA Point Crystals are on the ground below the floating islands, going from east to west.
- 19Head to the west-side road. West of the road is a Scumbag Camp. A Collection Point is located on top of the west lookout tower. West of the camp, up the hill, find a group of three DUMA Point Crystals.
- 20Southeast of the Scumbag Camp, find another cone-shaped rock formation. Search around its base for a treasure chest containing Physical Stimulant x1. The region's Shrine and some DUMA Point Crystals are on the other side of the base.
- 21South of the Shrine, explore a group of floating islands to find a large DUMA Point Crystal and a Collection Point.
- 22Due south, near the zone line, find another Collection Point on the ground.
- 23Cross to the east side of the region. Near the center, clear out a Scumbag camp. A Collection Point is located in the open northeast of this camp.
- 24Find another Scumbag camp to the southeast. Open the chest by a tent for a Lucky Rabbit.
- 25A chest containing a Symbol of Dread is located at the base of the cone-shaped rock formation to the east.
- 26You may find Cryptographic Messages B and C as rewards from some of the Quests above. Study these messages to find new items.
Tips
- The Aucerius Plains are vast and grassy, similar to the Aucerian Highroad, but with denser, taller grass.
- Enemy encounters are less frequent here than on the Aucerian Highroad.
- Items are scattered throughout the Plains, not concentrated in the center. Zigzagging or traversing the map from one side to the other is recommended for thorough collection.
- You can complete the Brooch Hunt Quest now and Fast Travel back to the Aucerius Plains when finished.
- The Cryptographic Messages obtained from quests can be used to find new items.
