Complete Part 7 walkthrough for Super Mario Galaxy 2, covering Hightail Falls, Fluffy Bluff, Honeybloom, and Wild Glide Galaxies, including all Power Stars and Comet Medals.
Walkthrough
- 1In Hightail Falls Galaxy, grab the Dash Pepper and follow coins upwards to reach the top of the slope. Use the Launch Star.
- 2In the next area, use the Dash Pepper to dash up the left side, collecting the ? coin. Avoid green ramps. Weave between ramps to the right to reach the next Launch Star.
- 3Quickly cross the crumbling platforms, then use the Dash Pepper to charge ahead, jumping over platform edges. A bonus portal is near the end with the Launch Star.
- 4Hit the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag (a flag marking your progress). Grab the Dash Pepper, go up, right, around poles, wind right, then down and slam into the wall to slow down.
- 5Go right over the bridge and use the Dash Pepper over the moving platform, past poles, through purple borders, and straight up to the Comet Medal. You may need to restart this section.
- 6Past the Comet Medal, head left, around, and down. Swing along flowers to a new ramp.
- 7Dash up, left between purple shapes, around left and down, then quickly right to the star. Use Yoshi to float to it if you hit purple parts, or try dismounting him to fly up, though this is risky.
- 8You will receive a letter from the Chimp.
- 9Head back to World 1 on the map and go to Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, where a green Chimp icon is visible.
- 10Approach the Chimp and agree to play The Chimp's Stomp Challenge. Jump on as many enemies as possible in a row without hitting the ground. You start with 100 points, up to 300 points per enemy, and 100 points per coin.
- 11To maximize points, after the first group of enemies, head left onto the water for a small group, then up and left to a green cliff with a large circle of enemies. A 1-Up is atop the tree to the left for extra points.
- 12Break the record of 10,000 points to win the Star. The high score is 11,560.
- 13To find Secret Star #1- Every Planet Has Its Price, re-enter Search For the Toad Bridge Captain. Collect 100 coins by stomping enemies and searching around. Most coins come from the ? coin minigame in the pipe behind the first tree and the next area.
- 14Use the cloud flower to reach the tree's top, then use the Sling Star to reach the Hungry Luma. Use the ? coin to collect more coins. Once you have 100, feed the Hungry Luma and use its Launch Star.
- 15Hit the Checkpoint Flag and use your clouds to head all the way up. Platforms are also useful, and several cloud flowers are available. Reach the top to get the Star.
- 16Head back to World 2 and re-enter Hightail Falls Galaxy.
- 17To find Secret Star #1- Silver Stars in Hightail Falls, re-enter Hot-Stepping Dash Pepper. Follow the level normally, collecting at least 30 coins (especially from the ? coin on the 2nd ramp area), all the way to the ramp-bridge 2 areas away from the star where a Hungry Luma sits. Feed it 30 coins to reach a new planet.
- 18Use Yoshi's tongue to snag 5 Silver Stars from the blue frogs. Once you hit a frog with a star, touch it to grab it. 5 Silver Stars equal 1 Power Star.
- 19Head forward on the map to the Hungry Luma and feed it 700 Star Bits.
- 20In Honeybloom Galaxy, after the vines, head up and swing right, then go along and up to the Bee Mushroom. Avoid the water and float up with A to the Checkpoint Flag.
- 21Fly up to the cloud, then up and over to the right. Jump over the spiked flying enemy to reach the Comet Medal.
- 22Fly up and right all the way to the vines. Bounce off the big grapes to boost your flight meter, then fly right and up to the Checkpoint Flag.
- 23Climb the pole and go right, climbing more poles and avoiding black Fuzzies. Fly up more along the poles and then to the swings. Use the vines, then to another grapey area.
- 24Head along and right to avoid spiky Piranha-like plants and eater plants. Float along right until you are outside again and up to the right. Head up more, avoiding enemies, to the Star.
- 25A bee joins your company on the ship.
- 26To find Secret Star #1- The Secret Wall Jump, automatically swing on the vines and get all the Star Bits. Hop up to the swing and swing right, then jump off to the wall when Mario's legs are straight up. Wall jump all the way to the top to reach the star.
- 27In Wild Glide Galaxy, talk to the bird in front to enter a tutorial on flying. Switch the Wiimote to your dominant hand to make things easier. Follow the visual instructions until you get green checkmarks on each step.
- 28Cruise along and avoid hitting walls, barriers, or spiky plants.
- 29To get the Comet Medal, fly through all 5 red archways: (1) is straight ahead, (2) is slightly left ahead, (3) is down and ahead, (4) is hugging the left side, and (5) is near the end on the slightly lower left. Dip down a bit, then relax controls to sail into it. Finish the course by flying through the final archway.
