Strategy:

  • Alright, so you've run into Magnius and his buddies, Bowman and Whip Master, at the Palmacosta Human Ranch. The first thing you'll want to do, just like with most boss fights, is to take out Bowman and Whip Master first. They might not hit super hard, but they can really get on your nerves and make fighting Magnius a lot tougher.
  • Once those two distractions are out of the way, you can fully focus on Magnius. Honestly, he's not too bad on his own once you've dealt with his helpers.
  • Your main attack pattern should be a simple 3-hit combo, followed by a Level 1 Tech like Sword Rain, and then a Level 2 Tech such as Double Demon Fang. This combo works wonders!
  • Don't forget to guard when you see him winding up for an attack, especially his Flame Lance. This move is a Fire-based magic attack with a pretty wide range, so blocking is key.
  • Keep an eye on your HP and TP, and don't be shy about using Gels whenever you need them. It's better to heal up than to get knocked out!
  • Stick to this strategy, and after a few minutes of solid fighting, Magnius should go down. Good luck!
