BOSS: YGGDRASILL

Learn how to approach the Yggdrasill boss fight in Tales of Symphonia, including its stats, weaknesses, and the strategy to use.

Strategy:

1. Use a Magic Lens (10G from the Refresher) to put Yggdrasill's stats on the Monster List.
2. After using the Magic Lens, you can let down the controller and watch the ensuing scene.

After the Battle:

1. Watch the scene that follows.
2. When you regain control, head East, North, and down the stairs.
3. The machine to your East is a Refresher (Apple Gel: 100G, Orange Gel: 200G, Melange Gel: 500G, Panacea Bottle: 150G, Life Bottle: 300G, Magic Lens: 10G).
4. Save your game and go up the stairs.
5. In the next room, change the function of your Sorcerer's Ring.
6. Go up the stairs West of the pedestal, head South, and go down the next set of stairs.
7. Move the brown block South 1 time and West 1 time.
8. Go East and move the other brown block 1 time North, 7 times West, and 1 time South.
9. Go up the stairs, cross the blocks, and push the grey block down.
10. Move the grey block East of the blue panel into the opening on the wall.
11. Move both brown blocks into the opening Southwest of where you placed the grey block.
12. Cross the bridges of blocks and open the chests to get 'Straw Hat' and 'EX Gem Lv2'.
13. Move the grey block onto the blue panel, revealing a set of stairs.
14. Place the brown boxes on the Northeast and Southeast corners of the brown square drawn on the floor.
15. Go down the stairs you previously revealed.
16. Go down the stairs and head East at the fork.
17. Push the metal block down into the water.
18. On the West side, use the Sorcerer's Ring on the blue pillar to the North.
19. Examine the machine South of you.
20. Cross the bridge you created with the blocks.
21. Use your Sorcerer's Ring on the blue pillar at the South of the room and examine the machine up the stairs.
22. Behind this machine, on the lower level, open the hidden chest to get 'Protect Ring'.
23. Go to the canal and down the stairs.
24. Push the metal block onto the blue panel and shoot the blue pillar just West of you.
25. Go through the door at the South end of the room.
26. Watch the scene and pay close attention to the dialogue.
27. Move West, then North to trigger another scene.
28. Finally, proceed to Tethe'alla.
