SUB-BOSS: FAKE

Learn the best strategy to defeat the Fake sub-boss in Tales of Symphonia's Triet Ruins. Get tips on party setup, AI commands, and how to exploit its weaknesses.

Strategy:

• For this fight, I recommend using Lloyd (that's you!), Raine, Genis, and Kratos.
• Before the battle, set Kratos's AI to only use 'Fire Ball' and 'Wind Blade' (if you have it). This keeps him focused on offense from a safe distance.
• As soon as the fight begins, press D-pad Right to set your party to the 'All out' strategy.
• Position yourself directly in front of the Fake. Guard frequently and use 'Guardian' occasionally to mitigate damage.
• Kratos and Genis will stay back and blast the Fake with magic, while Raine will keep your party healed. This approach should lead to a quick victory.

After the Fight:

Once you've dealt with the Fake, you'll find a 'Spirit Bottle' nearby. Head back to the southern end of the fork in the path and enter the door. Inside, you'll encounter a hawk enemy that holds the Memory Gem for this dungeon. After that, go up the stairs and light the torch on the wall. Now, backtrack down the stairs and light the torch on the east side of the room.

Exit this room and return to the fork. Enter the door in the middle. Go south and open the chest for an 'Apple Gel'. Then, head north, go around the pillar, and grab the 'Bracelet' and 'Life Bottle' from the chests. Next, you'll see two blocks. Push them down to the center of the room to create a bridge. Go up the ramp to find a chest containing 'Savory'. Continue along this path on the same floor to find chests with 'Mumei' and '1000 Gald'. Head back down the ramp and exit the room.

At the fork, go north. Follow the path, push the block to the south, and open the chest to get 'Stiletto'. Now, light the torch in this area.

Return to the fork and go through the middle door again. Light the torch at the end of the bridge you just created. Go back to the fork, head north, and make your way up the several stairs to find a chest with a 'Circlet'. Finally, unlock the memory seal, save your game, and enter the warp portal. Get ready for the next Boss Battle!
