The Initial Onslaught: As soon as you land, expect Ripper Swarms to be everywhere. They'll force your troops into melee and try to drag you away from the safety of your Drop Pod. On top of that, you've got Termagants, Lictors, Warriors, and Raveners joining the fray, with ranged units like those with Venom Cannons and Barbed Stranglers picking at you. It’s a tough start, and even Terminator armors can get overwhelmed by the sheer number of Rippers.

Setting Up Defenses: To survive this initial wave, you'll absolutely need to use [LOCATOR BEACONS]. Get them down behind your Drop Pod to deploy Sentry Turrets. These will provide crucial fire support against the swarm. If you're playing a Force Commander with a melee build, [RIGHTEOUS FURY] can absolutely shred Ripper Swarms. Your main targets early on should be synapse creatures – look for any Tyranid that's glowing green, like Zoanthropes. Taking them out helps scatter the Swarms.

Controlling the Swarm and Destroying Nests: To manage the Ripper Swarms, have Tarkus and Cyrus use their abilities [TAUNT] and [DROP SMOKE]. Your priority is to quickly destroy the structures spawning these enemies. There's a Brood Nest just to the west of your Drop Pod and the Main Hive to the south. Use [DEMOLITION CHARGES], [SIGNUM], or [CYCLONE MISSILE BARRAGE] to take these down ASAP. Demolishing these nests is key to reducing the constant pressure.

The Hive Tyrant: After dealing with the initial waves and structures, you'll face the Hive Tyrant. This massive beast has 110,400 HP and is equipped with a Bioplasma Cannon. Honestly, surviving the first five minutes is usually the harder part of this mission. Once the Hive Tyrant is your main focus, just destroy the remaining Synaptic Generators, and you'll be done with the mission.
