Guide through The Great Sea (8) in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Defeat Jolene, rescue Linebeck, and navigate to the Ghost Ship.

Alright, ready to tackle the next part of your journey? We're heading to the Northwestern Sea, so chart a course straight north. Keep your eyes peeled as you set sail, because a feisty she-pirate named Jolene is going to spot you and start blasting away with torpedoes!

You can try to outrun her, but honestly, your ship's engine is going to give out pretty quickly. Jolene will then board your ship, and you'll have to face her down below deck in a Pirate Duel. Don't worry, it's not too tough. Just keep running in circles to dodge her attacks. The trick is to wait for her to charge at you, then jump in and get a few hits in. After you land a few blows, you'll enter a 'Chance' where your swords will clash. Here's where you need to be quick: rub the stylus back and forth on the screen really fast to win the exchange. She won't actually die, but she'll drop her sword and retreat back to her ship.

Once that's sorted, head below deck and you'll find Linebeck chilling inside a crate. He'll reward you with a Blue Rupee for saving him – a bit of a cheapskate, that one!

With Jolene dealt with, you're free to continue north towards the Ghost Ship. As soon as you reach the Northwestern Sea, your ship will suddenly lurch, and the engine will conk out. Don't panic! Head below deck again; Linebeck will tell you to keep going after the Ghost Ship while he works on fixing the engine. Back on deck, you'll need to steer the ship yourself. The spirits will guide you, acting like a sort of radar. They'll react when you're pointed in the right direction of the Ghost Ship. Just keep heading mostly north until you finally reach it, and then you'll head inside.
