Normal Tournament

Treat these tournaments similarly to normal versus matches in Quest Mode. Utilize the same strategies that have led to your success in Quest Mode.

Quick Draw Tournament/Master Quick Draw Tournament

• Employ long, drawn-out throw moves, such as those used by El Blaze, to maintain an advantage and drain the timer.
• On fenceless stages, push opponents off the edge for a ring-out victory. This is an easy way to win rounds.
• Turtle fighting can be effective in lower ranks (kyu and dan), but may not work against higher-level opponents who can easily break your guard. Use this strategy sparingly at higher levels.
• Utilize hit-and-run tactics. After landing a few hits to lower the opponent's health, maintain distance and dodge until the timer runs out. El Blaze is particularly adept at this due to his ability to quickly turn and retreat. The timer is your ally with this strategy.

One Shot Tournament

• Similar strategies to the Normal Tournament can be used. A blistering pressure offense can also be effective, but gauge your opponent before committing to a full offensive.
• A strong defense can be more advantageous. Observe your opponent and attack only at opportune moments to slowly deplete their health. Characters with strong counter abilities are well-suited for this tournament type.
• Take advantage of fenceless stages. Since there is no room for error, push opponents near the edge for an easy victory.

Orb Discs

Orb Discs are obtained at the start of Quest Mode for each character. To fill them, earn orbs in Item Battles at arcades. When an Orb Disc is held, battles often award orbs. Collecting 7 orbs triggers a cutscene, leading to the acquisition of a new costume piece or a Costume Set. After obtaining all Costume Sets, you will only earn rare costume pieces that cannot be bought. Orb Discs can be purchased from the Item Shop as long as there are items to be earned from them. The number of Orb Discs required to unlock items varies per character.

Emblem Unlocking

Emblems are earned by defeating players who display them under their life bar during a fight. Winning a fight against such a player awards you their emblem. A pop-up screen will appear on the main screen before leaving an arcade, showing any emblems earned during your fights.
