The goal is to leverage Heavy Bolters, with the option to transition to Aeldari and Drukhari variants later in the game. While her starting bolter is adequate, a standard Heavy Bolter with a base rate of fire of 8 (doubling to 16 with Rapid Fire) becomes available by Chapter 1's end or Chapter 2's start. This powerful weapon is a reward from the Chapter 1 final boss if you choose the Heretical path. Alternatively, a more general Heavy Bolter can be acquired from Drussian traders, requiring Reputation 4 and 36 Profit Factor. Preferred Targets is beneficial when allies like Idira or Pasqal exploit weaknesses, or Cassia lowers dodge chance, significantly increasing critical hit chance against targets, making Rapid Fire engagements more effective. Exploit Weakness is also potent, especially if an Assassin or another source is reducing enemy armor values. This synergizes well with talents like Yrliet's Pierce the Armour for boss encounters.

Reckless Rush is a valuable skill that doubles Versatility stacks, providing bonus damage when Controlled Shot isn't needed. This complements Adaptability, which boosts critical chance based on Vers stacks, enabling rounds with high critical chance for effective Rapid Fire sequences.
