In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, not all companions are available for romance. Out of the ten companions, five can be romanced, each with specific preferences and conditions.

The five romanceable companions are Cassia, Heinrix, Jae, Marazhai, and Yrliet. Several companions are not romanceable due to lore reasons or personal circumstances:

• Argenta: A battle sister who rejects romance.
• Ulfar: A Space Wolf who rejects romance.
• Pascal: A cyborg who has forsaken most of his flesh.
• Idira: Unavailable due to her connection with the Warp.
• Abelard: A widower with no further interest in romance.

How to Romance Cassia in Rogue Trader

Male characters can initiate a romance with Cassia after rescuing her from the Navis Nobilite on Eurac V. This can begin during a fireplace scene aboard your ship.

1. Rescue Cassia from the Navis Nobilite level on Eurac V. Your choice to side with Felek or not does not seem to affect this.
2. Once she is aboard your ship, engage in dialogue. Choose options that allow her to have her crayons and adjust to her new life.
3. Later, Cassia will request a meeting in the Upper Deck lounge. During this conversation, express interest in her, mention her third eye, call her beautiful, and if you are a male character, select the option to date her to proceed with a romantic relationship.
4. Cassia has important side quests in Chapters 2 and 4 related to her family. It is advisable to align her with the Iconoclast/Dogmatic path for these quests. Be aware that in Chapter 3, Cassia can be missed if she is with you for the main quest. She is located in a pod at the top level of the Anatomical Opera, accessible after the second arena fights. Failing to rescue her during the Reunion quest will result in her being left behind.

How to Romance Heinrix in Rogue Trader

Heinrix, a nobleman Psyker working for the Inquisition, can be romanced by female characters. His noble background makes a relationship with a female Rogue Trader strategically beneficial. Romance options are limited for Heretic saves, though some interaction is possible early on.

1. During the Gleam of the Final Dawn quest, you will encounter Heinrix in a side room of the Adeptus Mechanicus Temple. He will join your retinue temporarily.
2. After defeating Aurora in the Electro Cynobium, speak to Heinrix. Interact with the console using the dogmatic option to gain his favor.
3. Upon returning to the ship, speak to Heinrix again. Thank the Inquisition for their help, select dialogue options that convey your interest in getting to know him better, such as "you misunderstand me."
