How to Get and Use Seasonal Edge

Learn how to acquire the Seasonal Edge skillbook in Where Winds Meet by unlocking Kaifeng City and visiting Cao Sheng. Discover its powerful bonuses and upgrade tiers for your builds.

To get the Seasonal Edge skillbook in Where Winds Meet, you must first unlock Kaifeng City by progressing through the Main Storyline to Chapter 2. Once in Kaifeng, head to the Fairgrounds in the southeast corner of the city. Within the Fairgrounds, locate a building in the top-left corner where you'll find a trader named Cao Sheng. He sells the ten pages required for the skillbook, with each page costing 500 Echo Jades, totaling 5,000 Echo Jades for the complete skill. Acquiring this amount will require completing various quests, exploration rewards, and other in-game activities.

The Seasonal Edge is a potent skill for builds that utilize weapon swapping with the Martial skill down buttons. It complements various weapon combinations such as the Dual Blades and Rope Dart, Strategic Spear and Sword, and Fan and Umbrella builds. These builds benefit from support weapons that offer unique abilities when switching. For instance, the Rope Dart provides a flat damage bonus to Dual Blades' fast attacks. Switching from the Strategic Spear to the Strategic Sword allows players to apply bleeds and then capitalize on them. The Umbrella's turret mode can launch enemies, enhancing damage from its effects.

Seasonal Edge offers one of the following passive bonuses:

• Heart of Four Seasons: Critical Rate +8%
• Will of Four Seasons: Affinity Rate +4%

The Physical Damage Bonus and All Attribute Attack Bonuses are generally useful for most builds, including the Nameless Sword build. While these stats are significant, it's advisable to view Seasonal Edge as a complementary skill rather than a primary build-defining one, especially if other key skills are missing.

Upgrading Seasonal Edge further enhances its effectiveness:

• Tier 1: Duration increased to 12 seconds.
• Tier 2: Increases physical Attack based on solo mode level.
• Tier 3: 10% chance to gain two random bonuses.
• Tier 4: Cooldown reduced by 5 seconds (triggers every 25 seconds).
• Tier 5: Physical damage increase.
• Tier 6: 15% chance to gain three bonuses and a 5% chance for all four buffs.

The final tier, offering a high chance to gain multiple bonuses, is particularly powerful. Upgrading Seasonal Edge is recommended later in the game after investing in other core build skills. By the time you've upgraded your essential skills, you should have sufficient Echo Jades and other currencies to invest in Seasonal Edge for its significant passive benefits.
