How to Join and Rank Up in the Midnight Blades: Overview 2

Learn how to join the Midnight Blades sect in Where Winds Meet by completing quests and staining a Decree with blood. Discover how to rank up through PvP and open-world assassinations.

To join the Midnight Blades in Where Winds Meet, you must complete a quest at night and stain a Decree with blood. Head to Halo Peak and find a dying man near a cliff edge with several dead bodies. Wait until nightfall and speak to Icchantik, a mysterious figure overlooking the corpses. He will give you a Rogue Decree. Alternatively, you can obtain one from a mysterious assassin at the drinking stall in Heaven’s Pier.

With the Decree in your inventory, kill enemies. Hostile monk camps to the west of your location are a good source. Return to Icchantik with the bloodied Decree to join the Midnight Blades. If you fail to hand over a bloodied one, you might face repercussions from the Midnight Sect. However, you can still join the Midnight Blades even if you initially fail to hand in the correct item.

Upon joining, you will learn the Dual Blades Martial arts if you haven't already acquired them through the Skill Theft unlock mission from the Dragon Key mission.

How to Rank Up in Midnight Blades

The Midnight Blades sect emphasizes combat and PvP. Members are expected to kill enemies in the open world, engage in PvP missions, and generally not avoid combat. Participating in the PvP forest zone (the Battle Royale map area) significantly increases your status with the guild. Killing Wanderers (other players in Arena) and performing open-world assassination quests are also key activities.

To rank up, access the Sect Status page, which lists the main quests. Early missions include:

1. Kill for Enlightenment: Kill 20 enemy players in Arena.
2. Bearing in Sin: Slay the Ferrymen to obtain the Faded Decree.
3. Inner Peace: Hang the Faded Decree at the Tree of Sin and complete the Path of Bloodshed.

After completing these, you will receive clues for subsequent missions. Maintaining your status and loyalty is crucial. Engaging in open-world combat and the Forest PvP BR mode will help recover your standing. Being overly passive or avoiding PvP and combat will lower your status and trust, potentially leading to expulsion from the guild.

Increasing your Sect Status unlocks rewards from the Sect shop, including a distinctive assassin-like outfit. Weekly challenges offer the chance to become the top player in the sect, earning a spot on the sect history board.
