Where to Find Nian Suichang and Complete His Quest

First Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Lightzen Temple: After defeating the boss at Lightzen Temple, head to Shu Sanctum. Find Nian at the intersection at the bottom of the path leading to the upper part of Worship’s Rise, leaning against a tree. Exhaust his dialogue and agree to help him to receive the Well Met Pose and the Bone Whistle.

Second Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Shu Sanctum: Find Nian next to the Shu Sanctum shrine. Exhaust his dialogue; he will remind you about the Bone Whistle.

Third Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Shu Sanctum: Equip the Bone Whistle. Go to the top of Shu Sanctum, interact with the door to enter the boss arena. Use the Bone Whistle to summon Nian for the boss battle. After the fight, speak to Nian next to the shrine and hand over the Mercurial Blood Key Item obtained from the boss to receive 3x Soft Rush. If you don't give him the Mercurial Blood here, his quest ends. He will then mention going to Reverent Temple.

Fourth Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Reverent Temple: Teleport to the Reverent Temple shrine. Find Nian on the second floor with his brother, Qiao Lin. Speak to him and exhaust his dialogue to receive 3x Kong Wine.

Fifth Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Reverent Temple: After defeating the story boss in the Lotus Pond of Tang Emperor’s Palace, head to Reverent Temple. Find Nian at the bottom of the stairs, to the left of the locked door. Speak to him before opening the door, then open it with the Reverent Temple Key. He will give you 5x Spicy Soup.

Sixth Meeting - Hillswatch: Progress through Hillswatch until the end. Take the path to the right of the stairs leading to Temple Ruins. You'll encounter Nian. Speak to him, then find the Tattered Pack along the road near an Archer enemy. Return the Tattered Pack to Nian to receive the Sorry Pose. Failing to give him the pack here can break his quest.

Seventh Meeting - Cloudspire Outskirts: At the end of Cloudspire Outskirts, before the boss gate, find Nian. He will tell you to summon him for the boss battle. Equip the Bone Whistle and summon him in the boss arena. After defeating the boss, return to Nian in the same location, exhaust his dialogue to receive 3x Kong Wine and a demand to spar.

Eighth Meeting - Mt Zhenwu - Refugee Camp: In Chapter 3, find Nian in the Refugee Camp.
