Walkthrough
- 1Chapter 1 Shrines (Worship’s Rise - 12 total):
- Reverent Temple: Found just outside the starting temple.
- 2Buddha Cliffs: On the main path after Reverent Temple, at the top of scaffolding near a shortcut ladder.
- 3Lightzen Temple: On the main path after descending the cliffs, inside the temple. Beware of enemies.
- 4Shu Sanctum: After defeating the boss at Lightzen Temple, use the key on the locked door near the Shrine. Follow the path through the village.
- 5Annalum (Optional): Leave Shu Sanctum, take the invisible bridge to your right (look for a glowing stone), follow the path to Worship’s Rise village, and proceed until you fight the Face-Changer. The Shrine is to the left of the courtyard where the Face-Changer drops the Infernal Flames spell.
- 6Mercury Workshop: Found on the main path as you descend below Shu Sanctum after defeating its boss.
- 7Bandit Cave: On the main path at the bottom of the workshop, just before the boss.
- 8Doomwillow Beach: On the main path after leaving Bandit Cave. The path splits, and the Shrine is found here. Warning: This Shrine is initially a mimic; defeat it first.
- 9Lu Mansion (Optional): In the Doomwillow Beach area. From the previous Shrine, look for a path leading upwards. Follow it to a burnt-down mansion; the Shrine is to the left of it at the top of a cliff.
- 10Corpse Pits: On the main path, found just after defeating the boss at the end of Doomwillow Beach.
- 11Palace Hill: On the main path through the Tang Emperor’s Palace. Found on a path at the back of the area, near where you drain the water in the Lotus Pond.
- 12Lotus Pond: Located in the center of the Palace where you drain the water and fight the Chapter 1 boss. Warning: This Shrine is extremely easy to miss as Chapter 2 begins back at Reverent Temple, and there is no reason to revisit this area. If you reach Chapter 4, you will miss it forever.
- 13Chapter 2 Shrines (Cloudspire - 12 total):
- Hillswatch: On the main path, reached by descending the cave accessed by unlocking the door in Reverent Temple’s courtyard. Follow the path to a cave leading to a stone bridge to Hillswatch.
- 14Snowy Passage: On the main path after leaving Hillswatch via the top exit. Follow a path to a cave where the Shrine is located.
- 15Cloudspire Outskirts: Accessed through large double doors near the previous Shrine. Work your way up; the Shrine is near a locked gate at the foot of a beacon tower.
- 16Mort Grotto: Located in the middle of the Cloudspire region. The easiest access is by heading right from Snowy Passage (instead of into Cloudspire Outskirts), crossing the bridge on the right to reach the mines. The Shrine is further inside.
- 17Rebel Camp: Accessed by heading north through Cloudspire Outskirts, or by climbing the large ladder at Mort Grotto (via the tunnel near the Shrine).
- 18Snowpeak Pass: On the main path after defeating the boss at Rebel Camp or lighting three beacons at Cloudspire Outskirts, a drawbridge will drop. Head up the slope from Cloudspire Outskirt’s Shrine to use the Shrine after defeating the boss there.
- 19Cloudspire City: Found a little forward from the previous Shrine after working through Snowpeak Pass to reach Cloudspire City.
Tips
- The Shu Sanctum Shrine is an important NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) hub.
- You can reach Mort Grotto’s Shrine by coming through the mine itself, or dropping from above onto its sigil.
- It is important to note that while you can leave Cloudspire via a cave in Hillswatch at the start of Chapter 2 and tackle Chapter 3 areas, it is advised against as it will break many NPC quests.
