Chapter 4 - An Encounter

After being pulled out of the funeral fisticuffs by Date (a character), you are taken to the bar Bacchus. Date will look for the missing ten billion, and Kiryu will look for Yumi. Your objective is to head to Serena.

Kamurocho (the city) is now largely open for exploration. You can start 39 Substories (side quests) and complete them, with 3 more available to start but not finish.

You can find up to 45 out of 50 Locker Keys (items that unlock item stashes).

Most Minigames are now available, excluding Gambling Hall and Casino minigames (though a Casino can be unlocked via Substories).

Once you discover the MesuKing arcade game, you can collect 49 out of 59 MesuKing cards scattered around the city.

The Cabaret Clubs are open for business.

The Majima Everywhere System is active, allowing you to reach Rank C with Majima before he takes a break.

To resume the story, enter Serena through the main entrance and speak to Reina.

Reina will tell you about Yumi's sister, Mizuki, and instruct you to head back to Bacchus to find where Mizuki opened her bar.

Warning: Once you head to Bacchus, story progression will lock for the rest of the chapter. Complete any desired side activities now.

Enter Bacchus to find a chilling scene and a single survivor.

Follow the girl (Haruka) south. You will encounter several enemies abusing a puppy.

Use the nearby bikes to quickly defeat the large group of enemies.

The girl will identify herself as Haruka. You need to get Dog Food for the puppy.

Head to Poppo on Nakamichi St. and buy Dog Food.

Return to Haruka with the Dog Food.

Go back to the same Poppo and purchase Mineral Water.

Go to Don Quijote and acquire a Paper Plate.

With the Dog Food, Mineral Water, and Paper Plate, the dog should be okay.

Your next objective is to get Haruka to Serena.

Follow the obvious route; you will get into unavoidable fights along the way.

Once you reach Serena, Haruka will be ready to head to the bar Ares.

Agree to go with Haruka, then follow her to the tower.

You will be stopped by a police officer on the way; respond as you wish.

Inside, follow Haruka to the elevator.

At the bar, follow Haruka to a picture of Mizuki.

You will engage in a fight with Hayashi and his goons from the Omi Alliance. Hayashi is a power-type fighter.

Boss Strategy: Watch for Hayashi to glow and move forward to attack or grab. Use Fighting Stance and quicksteps (dodging) to get behind him. Execute combos in either Brawler or Rush Style when he is vulnerable. When he slumps, he will glow yellow, indicating an opportunity for further attacks.

Defeat Hayashi to close this chapter.
