Master Yakuza Kiwami's menus! Learn about the Title Menu, Pause Menu options like Inventory, Equipment, Abilities, Cell Phone, Substories, Completion List, Notebook, and Save/Settings.

This guide details the various menus available in Yakuza Kiwami, covering both the Title Menu and the Pause Menu.

Title Menu

  • New Game — Begin a new adventure, selecting your difficulty before starting.
  • Continue — Load a previously saved game.
  • 2-Player Vs. Minigames — Access minigames like Darts, Pool, or Bowling for local multiplayer.
  • Replay — Re-watch major cutscenes.
  • Settings — Access game settings, identical to those found in the Pause Menu.

Additional menu items may appear after completing the game.

Pause Menu

  • Inventory — View your inventory, with a limit of 20 "normal" items. Pocket Circuit Components and Valuables are shown by pressing R1/RB and do not count towards this limit.
  • Equipment — Equip weapons, gear, and accessories. You can carry up to 15 Weapons and 15 Gear/Accessories, separate from your regular inventory.
  • Abilities — Access the upgrade menu to apply XP and enhance abilities.
  • Cell Phone — Receive calls and emails once Kiryu obtains a mobile phone. An envelope icon indicates waiting texts.
  • Substories — Track your progress on available substories.
  • Completion List — Monitor your progress in completing game attractions and distractions.
  • Notebook — Contains two sections:
    • Characters — A list of characters encountered.
    • Notebook — Provides tips on various game aspects.
  • Save/Settings — Save your game, load a save, return to the title screen, and adjust game options.
  • Difficulty — Adjust the game's difficulty while in-game.
  • Display Tips — Controls the intrusiveness of in-game tips.
  • Camera Control — Adjust Vertical, Horizontal, and First-Person camera settings. Options include Normal (Right Stick tilt direction) and Inverted (reverses direction).
  • Minimap Display — Toggle the minimap on or off.
  • Minimap Rotation — Enable or disable the minimap's rotation based on camera orientation.
  • Subtitles — Turn subtitles on or off for major cutscenes.
  • Gore Level — Set to "Mild" to reduce blood splatter in regular fights; cutscenes may retain normal gore levels.
  • Change Styles with L3 or R3 — Enable or disable switching combat styles by clicking the left or right analog sticks.
  • Screen Gradation and Screen Brightness — Adjust screen appearance if it's too dark or bright.

Note: The Map is now accessed via a dedicated button prompt, not from the Pause Menu. Other menus exist within specific minigames or situations.
