Learn how to beat Hector the Reflector in Yoshi's Island! This guide covers his unique mirror mechanic, attack patterns, and the strategy you'll need to win.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Hector the Reflector is weak to Yoshi's eggs.
• The battle takes place on the top screen, with the bottom screen acting as a mirror.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Encounter
   You'll enter a room after collecting the last flower. Head right, hopping up ledges while avoiding flying chairs and vases. Continue right through the chaos until everything stops moving. Jump through the Middle Ring and enter the red door to face Hector.
2. Phase 2: The Mirror Mechanic
   Hector will vanish from the top screen and reappear elsewhere. Use the mirror on the bottom screen to track his location. Dodge his approach and then shoot an egg at him.
3. Phase 3: Mirror Damage
   Each hit on Hector will crack a part of the bottom mirror. After you attack, a chair or table will drop into the room and fly towards you. Use these items to create eggs.
4. Phase 4: Increased Difficulty
   After five hits, the corners and center of the mirror will be broken, making it harder to track Hector. One more successful egg hit will defeat him.

Strategy:

• Keep a close eye on the bottom screen's mirror to know where Hector is heading.
• When he disappears from the top screen, immediately check the mirror and position Yoshi to dodge.
• As soon as you've dodged, aim and shoot an egg at his predicted location.
• Don't worry too much about the chairs and tables that fly at you after an attack; they are your source for more eggs.
• As the mirror breaks, tracking Hector becomes trickier. Be prepared to react faster and rely on your memory of his movement patterns.
