Ready to take on the Big Bungee Piranha? This guide breaks down its attacks and provides a step-by-step strategy to defeat it and collect all the red coins.

Stats / Weaknesses:

Phases:

1. The boss has a head and two side vines. The vines will try to grab Baby Mario.
2. The boss spits seedlings that grow into enemies you can eat for eggs.
3. A Chomp Rock is available in the arena.

Strategy:

• First, make sure you've collected the final red coin (20) by luring the hanging piranha plant down and jumping as it retracts. If you need more eggs, eat the smaller plant enemies. Then, jump through the Middle Ring and enter the red door to face the Big Bungee Piranha.
• When you enter the boss room, you'll see the Big Bungee Piranha, which consists of its head and two hanging vines. These vines will try to snatch Baby Mario, so be sure to avoid them.
• The boss will also spit out seedlings. These will grow into smaller plant enemies that you can eat to replenish your egg supply.
• There's a large Chomp Rock in the room. Your main goal is to push this rock so it's positioned directly underneath the boss's head.
• Keep an eye out for a visual and audio cue indicating the boss is about to swoop down. When you hear or see this, make absolutely sure the Chomp Rock is in place beneath it.
• As the boss swoops down, it will hit the Chomp Rock, causing its head to recoil and become stunned, retreating to the ceiling. This is your chance! Quickly shoot an egg at its dangling tongue to deal damage.
• As the fight progresses, the time between the cue and the boss's swoop will get shorter. To make things easier, try to keep the Chomp Rock positioned underneath the boss's head as much as possible so you're always ready.
• It only takes three successful hits to the tongue to defeat the Big Bungee Piranha.
