Alright, so you're looking to squeeze more power out of your gear in Black Myth: Wukong, huh? Getting that third Curio Slot is a pretty big deal, but it's a bit of a trek. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it. You're not going to be able to snag this until you're pretty far into the game, about halfway through, so just keep pushing forward!

First things first, you need to make your way to Chapter 3, which takes place in The New West. This chapter is a long one with a bunch of Shrines, so just keep progressing until you reach the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Shrine. You'll know you're there after you've dealt with the prison in the Pagoda Realm.

Once you've found that Shrine, look to its left (when you're facing it) along the shore. You should spot a Loong. Go up to it, and you'll kick off a battle with Chen Loong. Winning this fight is crucial because it rewards you with the Ruyi Scroll. This scroll is your ticket to the next major area: Zodiac Village.

With the Ruyi Scroll in hand, head over to Zodiac Village. This place is pretty cool – it's like a sanctuary for all those Zodiac Deities you've met. You'll find familiar faces like the Chen Monkey and Xu Dog there. But the main NPC you're looking for is a blacksmith named the Yin Tiger. He's not just there to upgrade your armor with rare materials; he's also the key to unlocking that extra slot.

The Yin Tiger Challenge

As soon as you talk to the Yin Tiger and select the option to challenge him, get ready for a fight! You'll be thrown straight into a battle with him. Honestly, how tough this fight is really depends on your level. We managed to take him down around Level 55, but your mileage may vary. If you haven't already, I highly recommend putting some points into the A Pluck of Many spell – it's a lifesaver. And if you're good at parrying, mastering the Rock Solid parry will help you out immensely here.

Warning: The Yin Tiger is immune to the Immobilize spell. Don't waste your Mana trying to use it; he'll just break the illusion instantly.

Even though he's got a huge sword, the Yin Tiger is surprisingly quick. He can vanish into thin air and reappear just as fast, often with a devastating attack. Watch out for his dash attacks or ground slams from the air. If you see him disappear, be ready to dodge or parry with Rock Solid the moment he reappears. If you have any items that boost your damage reduction, now's the time to use them – every bit of defense counts!

He also has a nasty grab attack where he'll pull you in for a combo that can leave you near death. Make sure to heal up immediately after that one. Keep an eye out for when he starts charging his blade; he's about to unleash a powerful attack that hits everything in a straight line in front of him. If you can dodge to his side during this, you'll create a great opening to get some hits in. If you lose, don't sweat it! You'll recover all your HP and Mana and can challenge him again right away. It's all about learning his patterns and getting close enough to strike after dodging his moves.

Once you finally defeat the Yin Tiger, he'll give you his sword, which unlocks the Ebon Flow Transformation, letting you transform into the Yin Tiger himself! After that, chat with him again. You'll see a new option: “Equip More Curios”. Select it, and boom – you've got yourself a shiny new Curio Slot. Congrats!
