Find all 6 Kun Steel in black myth wukong. Learn where to get this rare crafting material from bosses and secret areas.

Kun Steel is the highest-tier weapon crafting material in black myth wukong. Unlike materials such as Fine Gold Thread and Cold Iron Leaves, Kun Steel cannot be farmed. You must defeat specific bosses or find it in secret areas to obtain this rare material. There are six Kun Steel pieces available in a single playthrough.

  • Fireproof Mantle (from Chapter 1 Secret Area) is required to obtain one Kun Steel.
  • Completing the game once is required to access the Chapter 3 Secret Area for the final Kun Steel.
Walkthrough
  1. 1
Loong Scales Quest: Complete this questline starting in Chapter 2. After defeating Red Loong (Chapter 1), Black Loong (Chapter 2), and Cyan Loong (Chapter 3), you will face Yellow Loong at the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine in the Webbed Hollow. Defeating Yellow Loong rewards one Kun Steel and the Sea-Supporting Tendon. This can be done as early as Chapter 4.
  2. 2
Chapter 4 Secret Area: Unlock the secret area in Chapter 4 (Purple Cloud Mountain) and defeat The Duskveil, an optional boss, to get one Kun Steel.
  3. 3
Chapter 4 Final Boss: Defeat the final boss at the end of Chapter 4 to obtain one Kun Steel.
  4. 4
Chapter 5 Chest: In Chapter 5, reach the Furnace Valley - Valley Entrance Shrine. Follow the path until it opens up, then drop down. Equip the Fireproof Mantle to cross the lava to the right and follow it to the end to find a hidden chest containing one Kun Steel.
  5. 5
Chapter 5 Final Boss: Defeat the final boss at the end of Chapter 5 to obtain one Kun Steel.
  6. 6
Chapter 3 Secret Area Superbosses: Unlock the Chapter 3 Secret Area (Wei Mountain) and defeat the optional superbosses at the end. These are the toughest battles in the game and reward the final Kun Steel. This requires beating the game once first.
