How to Get the Supreme Gourd

Upgrading Your Gourd

Before you can even think about the Supreme Gourd, you've gotta max out your starting Gourd, the Old Gourd. You'll be upgrading it five times, and each stage has a new name and more healing charges:

• Medicine Gourd: 5 Charges (Requires 1 Luoija Fragment Vine)
• Healing Gourd: 6 Charges (Requires 1 Luoija Fragment Vine)
• Medicine Sage Gourd: 7 Charges (Requires 2 Luoija Fragment Vines)
• Medicine Master Gourd: 8 Charges (Requires 2 Luoija Fragment Vines)
• Medicine Buddha Gourd: 9 Charges (Requires 3 Luoija Fragment Vines)

Obtaining the Supreme Gourd

Once your Gourd is finally the Medicine Buddha Gourd with 9 charges, it's time to make the trek. You'll need to travel to the Rakshasa Palace Shrine, which is located in Furnace Valley during Chapter 5.

From the Rakshasa Shrine, just follow the series of bridges straight ahead. You'll eventually come to a point where you need to turn right onto a stone path. Keep following this path until you reach an intersection where you can go left or right. Take the left path, which leads up a small set of stairs.

Now, stop for a second and look to your right. You should see a building across a molten floor, with a fire glowing brightly in the distance. Head over to that building. Once you're there, interact with the fire. This is where you'll perform the final upgrade to get the Supreme Gourd!

Quick Tip: While you're in the area, you can smash a nearby pot to get an Awaken Wine Worm. Also, remember to talk to the old man who gave you the Gourd way back in Chapter 1; you'll need to speak with him again later for his portrait.
